URGENT! A black and white sh*tzu mix wearing a light blue hoodie was picked up by Animal Control/Police Department and brought to our shelter. Unfortunately, upon arrival, when the agent opened the door, the scared pup bolted and ran off!

Gonzales Dog Adoptions (GDA) Fees (cash or checks only)
- Day of Impoundment: $20
- Day 1: $30
- Day 2: $40
- Day 3: $50

Total Fees Due
- Day of impoundment: $25 (City) + $20 (GDA) = $45
- Day 1: $25 (City) + $30 (GDA) = $55
- Day 2: $25 (City) + $40 (GDA) = $65
- Day 3: $25 (City) + $50 (GDA) = $75

Reclaiming Your Dog

Visit City Hall or Police Department to pay $25 PRIOR TO coming to Gonzales Dog Adoptions. A RECEIPT IS NEEDED FROM THEM FOR US A TO BE ABLE TO RELEASE THE DOG

Then visit us at 400 CR 488, Gonzales, TX 78629 (10am-3pm, Mon-Sat) with cash or checks for our release fees.

Release Requirements
- Proof of ownership (photos/vet records)
- ID (Driver's License/state-issued)
- Written proof of current rabies vaccination (If the owner does not have proof of current rabies vaccination, the dog will be transferred to a local Vet for vaccination, and the owner must pay the vaccination fee before the dog is released.)

Dogs without identification are held for three days, according to Gonzales City code. Dogs not claimed by owners may become candidates for GDA's adoption program.

Folks have already made a difference by donating 400 pounds of food so far!

HUGE THANK YOU to the Belin family for fostering Ruby!

We're incredibly grateful to Julie and Abby Belin for opening their hearts and home to Ruby, the emaciated pup who arrived in our care this week in desperate need of TLC.

Ruby will receive the care and nourishment she needs to recover and thrive. We know that with their love and support, Ruby will be on her way to a healthy weight and a happy life!

Chip went to stay with a temporary foster during the last freeze and he has officially joined Austin Dog Rescue!

Although Chip is heartworm positive, he'll receive the proper treatment and care through ADR. He'll be available for adoption soon!

Needs Foster or 501(c)3 Rescue!!

This innocent 1-year-old girl (under 30 lbs) has endured unimaginable suffering as a victim of animal cruelty.
