One year ago today was the first time Magnus was backed. It was all of 4-5 minutes, and it’s been perfect ever since.

Lots of trailer work today, both at home and away. Magnus usually loads well at home, but often is reluctant to jump in to head home. We’re working hard to maintain the trailer being a safe and restful place for him, but reducing the need for incentives and time it takes to load.

Yesterday was many firsts for us. We had our first trail ride with other horses from different farms, which included a mare and gelding. Our first ride through woods and all the sights and sounds there are there - and branches on helmets- and our first dive into water, which I mean quite literally.

Magnus at first said “No Way.” But, then, he quickly changed his tune to “Kowabunga!” and jumped in with all four feet at the same time. He loved it!

Magnus quickly settled in to ride like any trail horse. I don’t think you would know he was a stallion or that it was his first real trail ride. It was pretty dreamy if you ask me.

Look at this beautiful filly- the first of Corson’s Golden Thor’s “Magnus” progeny! She is strong, curious, confident, and loves her people. We cannot wait to watch her grow until she finds her forever home later this year.

Magnus has his first foal on the ground! Moira was born May 4th at 9:20pm. She is a beautiful, confident, leggy little filly!
