Today I am grateful NOT to be working in clinic. No not to enjoy the sunshine, but to be away from the devastation that heatstroke still causes despite multiple warnings. I am grateful not to be battling to save lives, and witnessing unnecessary deaths of wonderful dogs who would have quite happily missed a walk today.

To all my veterinary colleagues, I just hope you do not have to see too many tragedies today. Sending lots of love and healing as it’s part of our job which should no longer be part of our job and has a huge negative mental impact.

KEEP THOSE DOGS IN THE COOL, AT HOME!

I’m sure a lot of you have seen on the news about the potential ban of the XL Bully dog and many of you may be understandably worried.

If you have an XL Bully
- Start muzzle training now, your dog will not just tolerate a muzzle it can take time for them to adapt
- Keep them on a lead - it’s not worth having any incidences of a loose dog even if they’re friendly
- Train a good recall - if they ever do get out you can get them back as fast as possible and avoid any issues
- Be proactive, seek support from a trainer or behaviourist to iron out any unwanted behaviours in your dog even if it’s just to proof behaviours to get them looking under control and well behaved

Those of you who know me know I am a huge bully breed fan so I am offering 20% off to anyone who would like training or behaviour support in person or online for their XL Bully including up to 50% off muzzle training support packages and discounts for muzzles from The Muzzle Movement.

Please feel free to share this far and wide as I am happy to support up and down the country.

With such beautiful weather at the moment why not make the most of it with a 'sniffari' walk- although our walks are limited in distance that doesn't mean they need to be limited in fun!

With so many dogs biting/attacking children lately please watch and share this video. More awareness should be out there and more responsibility should be taken. Bites hardly ever come out of no where, there are always signs you just need to know what to look for

All about us...

Four Legs Dog Walking is a small family run business consisting of, Myself (Kristen), my partner Chris and our amazing son Charlie. We are all a little bit animal mad... okay maybe alot! We have our share of animals at home, including 2 dogs, a cat, a turtle and our fish. It is our zoo and we love it.

At Four Legs Dog Walking we specialise in Enrichment and Adventure walks. We believe that on walks (and at home) it is just as important that dogs exercise their brains as well as their bodies. This is for many reasons; it improves focus and concentration, reduces bordem-related behaviour problems, stimulates natural behaviour, and increases confidence. This can be especially helpful with rescue dogs and high energy breeds but can significantly improve the life of dogs of all ages, sizes and capablilties.

On our walks with your dogs we play games that stimulate your dogs mind and gets them using their natural senses and breed specific traits.

I have previously completed a canine psychology course with a distinction and am currently training to be a Canine Behaviourist along side the walks and our family life. We are first aid trained and fully insured so you can be sure your fur baby is in the very best hands.
