So after 7 years I’ve just discovered the ‘memories’ on on this page…🫣

This is a very poignant one, the day we first moved in to the farm and the sanctuary was born…

What a life changing adventure we had awaiting us. 😌

We have finally moved in! The dogs and kids absolutely love it.
We’ve been very busy getting the pig area ready and have their new pig houses are on order.
Our 20 hens are arriving on Sunday and the big barn is all ready and waiting for them.
7 feral kittens arriving next week ready for my boys to do their stuff and tame them up ready for Re-homing.

Lots more work to do fencing the whole sanctuary so if anyone could spare a few hours one weekend please let me know 😊

Thank you so much for all the dog food that’s been donated recently. It really is a huge help for me 🙏 I’m so sorry for the 2 people who gave their dogs food as they’d lost them, there’s no grief like it💔 so sorry 😔 💔

Whitegate Animal Sanctuary (Billy’s Place)

This sanctuary was created in August 2018 by myself (Laura)and my 2 young sons, Jake and Matthew, to give animals in need a forever home and raise awareness to what animals go through in the meat, egg and dairy industries.

So far we have rescued 230 animals; 10 dogs, 12 cats, around 160 chickens, 1 cockerel, 6 pigs, 12 sheep, 7 goats, 4 turkeys, 16 rabbits, 8 ducks and 2 overgrown naughty piglets🐇🐕🐓🐖🐈🦆

It is all self funded through my pet minding/doggy daycare business so am incredibly grateful for donations as I am struggling to meet the mounting bills and rent by myself. Donation details are below you would like to help us help the animals.
