Hey everyone! I apologize for not getting back to you, but I'm back on my feet and will answer your questions. Lots of you are asking about our Buddy Boost probiotics. I honestly can't recommend these probiotics enough (and I do not benefit from their sales). Numerous cats we've rescued have benefitted tremendously from them. Upper respiratory infections have completely cleared up when nothing else would help. And our cats love them!
Many vets are now recommending probiotics, especially if your pet is on antibiotics (be sure to feed them a couple hours apart). Vets typically recommend Fortiflora, which has only one probiotic: 100 million CFU/g Enterococcus Faecium. And the first ingredient is animal digest (ew) and they also contain vitamins and minerals (even salt!) that could result in excess amounts. Our probiotics have more of the same probiotic and also have four more! Having a Broad Spectrum formula with FIVE probiotics is important because the chances of getting the one that your pet needs is greatly increased. Any probiotics that are not absorbed are excreted -- no concern for feeding too much like you would be if they contained vitamins. Any food labeled complete and balanced in the US will have all the vitamins your pet needs and more can be detrimental, which is never the case with our probiotics! Our probiotics contain these beneficial probiotics and no other ingredients your grandmother wouldn't know :) :
Lactobacillus acidophilus: 150 Million CFU/g
Lactobacillus casei: 150 Million CFU/g
Enterococcus faecium: 150 Million CFU/g
Bifidobacterium longum: 150 Million CFU/g
Saccharomyces cerevisiae: 120 Million CFU/g
The other thing I really like about these probiotics is their freshness: they are not sitting on shelves! They are super fresh, so fresh that they are guaranteed to have the amounts for an entire year! And often beyond that! If purchased with an insulated box and ice pack, the ice pack is frozen around the bottle to ensure maximum cold transfer to the item.
