Hi, been a while. Just to say Leicesterval: Leicester Indiepop Weekender 2025 - just 36 weeks tomorrow! - is still set for ticket release on Monday September 2nd. Already, in the last week and a bit in fact, we've confirmed two exciting names for it, including someone we've been hoping for ever since this foolish endeavour began.
But also, we'll soon be announcing our first regular STN Presents night in five years...
One month on, the Alldayer alumni playlist has been updated. Don't think we ever actually thanked everyone for coming to that remarkable day, so thank you and hope to see you again over the weekend in eleven months' time.

At the end of another year and with the highlight of the one passing clearly the remarkable tenth Alldayer back in March we thought we'd dig out some of Nigel King's photos of the day.
2024 will be STN's fifteenth year of promoting and we are making plans to do more than just the one gig - but it's now just 62 days until we do it all over again with another spectacular line-up...
RIP Ruth Miller. A great person, an absolute inspiration through Unglamorous (especially over this year) and through Po!, whose 2016 Leicester reformation gig we also promoted, and the Verinos a more than reliable star of our Alldayers.

While this liferaft from the increasingly listing Twitter is here, let us let those of you who like long term planning know that Leicester Indiepop Alldayer 2024 is set for eight months today, that is to say Saturday 2nd March, again at Firebug. Tickets will go on sale on Monday 4th September with the bill hopefully to be announced in full by the end of October.

Now it's been a few days of recuperation, thanks once more to everyone who came to and played at the tenth Alldayer, one of our absolute favourites all round and source of much enthralled feedback. The 2024 date is already reserved and having missed out on properly celebrating both the tenth anniversary and tenth staging we're going to be doing a couple of special things around it - and early stages but we may well have another night out later in the year...

Apropos of nothing, an update:
- May as well tell you now if you want to get in early with making plans, Leicester Indiepop Alldayer 2023 is already booked in for Saturday 4th March. Acts to be announced around October time.
- As it will be the tenth Alldayer (following this year's tenth anniversary, keep up at the back) we're going to endeavour to do some special things with and around it, one of which may come to fruition this autumn.
- As for regular STN Presents... shows, we're not sure right now - it depends on, in decreasing order of likelihood, finding someone we really want to put on who's available and can draw an audience in somewhere like Leicester, finding a booking agent who thinks sending their clients here isn't an expendable resource, and there being any local support bands still operational.

Tomorrow was the date we had reserved for the 2021 Leicester Indiepop Alldayer. This will not be happening.
However, this week we reserved not only a date for March 2022 - with the way announcements are going we had to get in early - but one for later this year. Watch this space, cross your fingers and all that.
When events conspired that meant the Indiepop Alldayer had to be postponed on 7th February the plan was to do a couple of gigs over the late spring/summer - one for late May was already half booked - and then put together a five band half-dayer for one Saturday in the lead-up to Christmas (late enough to be out of the way of Nottingham and Cambridge's annual Alldayers) before going full pelt into Alldayer 2021.
That... didn't happen. Any of it. Instead we did a couple of livestreamed DJ sets during the first lockdown and generally moped.
So we're not planning an Alldayer for the usual weekend as there's clearly not a cat in hell's chance of putting a full day on as early as March. Firebug have offered us a livestream opportunity for that date so there's a possibility of something happening if anyone's interested, in which case get in touch. If that doesn't happen we have an idea for an online celebration, of which more if it happens.
Regardless, merry Christmas, happy new year, and thanks for sticking around and not unfriending us. When people are able and willing to go into small rooms with PAs in once more rest assured we'll be ready.
