I hope not to come off rude. I wasn't going to make a post, but...
Animal rescuers, vets, etc ..are at high risk for mental illness and $uicide rates.
We are humans too.
We deserve to take a break and take care of ourselves just like anyone else.
There is no sense in being RUDE to someone because they take time off.
None of my animals are neglected.
I wouldn't leave an animal in a bad situation.
I told myself I wouldn't check my phone or rescue page for the whole 2 days of vacation I have, yet I did it anyways. It's almost addicting..and you constantly worry when you're trying not to.
I am not trying to say I work harder than anyone , but running a rescue is not a breeze.( I also take care of two dementia patients a min of 40hrs a week)
With that said, I am unavailable until Monday morning. I am not trying to "abandon" or "ignore" anyone or animals...but if I want to keep on, I need a break.
We all should take a break when we feel like life is getting too much.
Please take care of yourselves, eat some food and drink some water.

He received his first FVRCP Sunday , and will get his booster in 3 weeks.
Next step, Neuter & Rabies with the Alabama Alliance.
Once he's vaccinated, I'd like to get him into the vet for an exam. As you see he has some serious kitty acne (that's my guess?) on his face.. and I wanna get his overall health checked out.
He's such an awesome little dude. He's so friendly and loves some scratches . He sees me outside and he comes running to me.
If you have space in your heart and home for the sweet guy, my #1 goal is to get him off of the streets.
I am not allowed anymore animals, also my cats said NO. Or he'd be my BABY.
Even a long term foster would be great ! I guarantee you won't regret letting this sweet man come hang.
If you'd like to contribute towards his care, I will be taking him to Alabama Alliance Spay and Neuter clinic for rabies and neuter ($75) and Animal Care Center , Prattville on South Memorial, under my name Cait Rollan. This is Rat Rat aka Babygirl.
She is need of a loving home. She is not spayed or UTD on shots (yet!)
She is good with kids, dogs and other cats.
Intake is still closed, so we are looking for a foster / forever home.

This is Mavis Mayhem. She is about 11 years . She's spayed and vaccinated. ..and cute as a button !!
Her family moved a few years ago into a new home and she just hasn't adjusted. They have done everything they can think of to make her comfortable and it's just not happening. They have finally reached their last resort - rehoming her in hopes for the quality of life she deserves. They are heartbroken it's come to this, so please be kind and gentle to them in this difficult time.
She's not aggressive towards (grown)humans , but has developed an aggression towards other animals. She needs a quiet home without babies (human or furry)

He's a good cat and definitely keeps life interesting.
He's a 2 year old neutered male, UTD on all vaccines. He does okay ish with other cats, never been around dogs and unsure about little kids.
He's located in Pensacola FL, but can be transported (within reason)

He's part of the cat colony in my yard. My boyfriend and I are about to get him neutered and vaccinated, the whole package. He does get flea treatment monthly.
We'd like to set up a foster home for him to see how well he will do as an indoor cat.
He's got the personality more of a pet than a feral street cat. This cat is so special to me and I love him so much but it would be selfish of me to keep him in the streets when he would make a great house cat. I can't take in anymore animals or I would so keep him .

We have the lady and we believe she is just chonky and not pregnant.
We are doing a 7-day stray hold in attempts to locate any possible owners. Otherwise, we will need a foster or even better, a forever home . Stay tuned friends ๐๐
7:46 : was just informed she was being fed by the home owners and had been living in an abandoned car for the past few months
Someone reached out for helping out a possibly pregnant stray kitty. One of my fosters is going to try to pick up the cat today . She already has a mama with nursing babies, so she will not be able to keep this mama kitty for too long.
We need a foster. I have all of the supplies you need and will get you donated food and litter each week .
As soon as we are able to get mama kitty brought in, we will determine if she's pregnant and start working on getting her vetted.

Beans is doing good ! He got started on dewormer today... If he will ever let me get close enough, I'll get him on flea medicine as well. He still comes around and eats everyday. He's forgiven us for holding him hostage for two weeks lolol
Meatwad update ! The day I tried to trap him, the latch didn't catch and he got loose.... BUT, I have been able to clean his wound when he comes by for feeding daily and it's doing much better. Still looks gross, but it's drained and trying to scab..I'm doing what I can to keep it clean to prevent infection. He won't be still long enough to cut that scab that's hanging off ( it was from when it was abscessed) so it's just going to have to fall off as he heals. He's our next friend that I intend to neuter and hopefully adopt out. He's not really on the feral side, more on the stray side so I have a strong feeling he will come around to being a house cat. He wouldn't make a good working/barn cat bc he's the literal definition of a scare-dy cat lol As always, I can't do it without help .
