Blue is actually a full pedigree blue and tan German shepherd that turns 10 in October this year, now he has finished his vet work he is looking for a retirement home with no other dogs where he can live out his final days in comfort ❤️

Blue came to us following the death of his owner, sadly the poor boy was in quite a neglected state when he arrived last year and its taken some time to get him back to health. He came in with an entire female that was in season, he had a bite wound to his inner eat which was infected and has taken some time to heal, but he is recovered now and ready for a forever home.
He may be almost 10 years old but he is a strong lad and still loves a game of football 💕

Blue cannot live with cats.

He has met children as young as 6 and was great with them, however he is still a big boisterous lad so we would rather an adult only home for this boy, someone that can offer him the quiet retirement and companionship he deserves in his advancing years. He will need a home that is experienced with the breed as he is a big strong boy still.

Blue doesn't need alot of walking as his back end is getting a bit wobbly now, for this reason he will not be castrated, so will need to be the only dog in the home.

Gorgeous Mavis needs a home - please share her 💕

Please meet Marvellous Mavis!!

Mavis is a stunning English bulldog who was left unclaimed in the pound, she was very underweight and covered in sores so has clearly not had a great life prior to coming to us. We estimate her to be around 3 years old but as she wasn't chipped we can only go on her general condition.

She is small and mighty and full of character and mischief!! She was 13kg when she was admitted to the stray kennels before Christmas but she loves her food and has gained weight nicely, she is probably 16/17kg now. Poor Mavis has obviously had quite a sad life to now, she craves attention and love, and is full love and mischief! We don't know if she was bred from, but she appears to have lived in a kennel and not a home environment. All she wants to do now is snooze on the sofa and eat her food, there isn't really much in-between - but when she is out she comes alive, she loves to chase other dogs and a ball, and loves a tug rope!

Such a shame for such a gorgeous happy little lady to find herself homeless! Mavis is a lively happy little lady that would love a family to play with her and keep her occupied, she loves a walk and loves to greet everyone she meets! She absolutely adores other dogs outside, and inside to snuggle with on her terms, she could happily live with a companion, but She can be bossy so would be best with a laid-back male. She would equally be happy as the only dog, in fact, I think she would prefer this!

Mavis is a little pocket rocket who is more like a collie than a bulldog, and She is utterly ball obsessed, her absolute favourite thing to do though is chase an RC car, she literally never gets bored of this!! This little lady is a permanent buzz of energy and excitement when she is out, when she is home, she is a couch potato that just wants to get in your pocket for snuggles!

Mavis is a gorgeous happy, active lady that so desperately needs a forever home that will make her feel safe and secure. She is the sweetest little cuddle bug ever - she can't get close enough to you! Mavis is like living with a little comedian, she is always making you laugh with her antics and expressions, it's impossible to be sad with her in the house!!

Mavis is fine to live with children age 13 years plus.

Lovely Ben needs a forever home 💕

Please meet Beautiful Ben!

Ben is a gorgeous fawn and white Whippet cross, he was saved from the Chinese meat market by Candys Rescue. Yes dogs are food in China, if you don't know the meat markets are absolutely evil and the treatment the dogs get and the things they have seen is nothing short of hell. Little Ben is one of the lucky ones and has come to us in the UK to find his forever home. If you are not aware, there are no animal welfare laws in China so no dog is ever safe there, which is why the dogs are sent overseas to be rehomed, to make sure they are safe and loved for life!

Ben is a very typical Whippet in character, he is a bit taller than a UK Whippet but he nature is all Whippet, he just wants to snuggle with you and would get in your pocket if he could. On arrival Ben was quite overwhelmed, but didn't take him long to attach himself to us, he had a 14 hour flight followed by a few hours drive and all he wanted was to have a snuggle with me, its very easy to fall in love with this adorable little lad. I mean, just look at him. Ben is approx 4 years old. He is ready for his future, away from the horrors of the Chinese meat market.

Ben is fit as a fiddle and what a diva he has now become ,Ben is quite literally amazing, he will snuggle with you every opportunity he gets, its adorable!! So calm and well behaved I just know the perfect home is waiting patiently for a dog just like him!!

Ben will steal your bed, and your heart, he is strikingly beautiful and gets compliments wherever he goes which of course, he is happy to lap up! Ben is dog friendly, as long as he is comfy that's all he really cares about! Ben lost alot of weight when he was in kennels and vwe are slowly building him back up but he still has a way to go, so an adopter who is a feeder is a bonus for this boy!

Ben is a real couch potato of a dog, he is very quiet and as much as he will walk for miles, he takes some convincing to get out of bed or off the sofa, particularly if it's cold or wet - and who can blame him!!He certainly loves to snuggle with the other dogs, but even better, his humans, he is a real snuggle bug! He is fantastic on and off the lead, and will do anything for food or a cuddle!

He would love a family to play with him and keep him occupied, he loves a walk and loves to greet everyone he meets! he is house trained and non-destructive - happy to be left snoozing on the sofa by himself, absolutely adores other dogs so could happily live with a companion.

Nina needs a home 💕

She is fine with cats and male dogs, can be bossy with other females.

please meet Noticeable Nina!

Nina is an absolutely stunning Pekingese that is approx. a year old, she stops people in their tracks wherever she goes, she is a sassy little girl that walks with so much confidence, she is fearless as a lion and a fantastic little companion! Sadly Nina joined us from a pound along with 2 other dogs, on arrival she was timid, skinny and neglected, but she is far from that now!

Nina is absolutely gorgeous, she weight 5kg but that is 5kg of pure attitude, she is feisty and fearless and not afraid to show it!

Nina is a little pocket rocket, she is absolutely fantastic and fearless, and although she is small, she doesn't realise it, she will take on anything! Nina walks well on her lead, she has brilliant recall off lead in a secure field. She loves to zoom around with the other dogs especially Arthur the chi cross, they will chase each other around all day given the chance!

Nina is a typical little lap dog inside, she loves nothing more than to snuggle with you, she will quite literally spend her entire day snuggled with you, she also likes to snuggle under the duvet with you at night given the chance, however she will also settle in her dog bed near you or downstairs. She mixes fine with other dogs but is a very bossy little lady and likes to bark at the dogs when they are playing or acting up, she can also be a little snappy with other female dogs, she is definitely a dominate female and would be best homed with a laid back male she can boss around, or she will be equally happy as the only dog being the pampered princess she was clearly born to be! She will need a home that is experienced with the breed, they are small but very mighty, and she is a particularly active little lady that is busy and likes to be involved with everything! She will also need regular grooming.

Nina is fine being left for short periods, she will just curl up and mind her own business. She isn't destructive and is house trained. She will use pads if she doesn't have garden access.

Nina can live with children age 13 years plus. She can live with confident cats, every now and then when the mood takes her she will chase them!

Nina is housetrained, but will do a protest poo if the weather is rubbish, however she will use pads in this situation.

Nina will need a breed experienced home, they may be small but are not a breed for the feint hearted!!

Nina has been spayed, fully vaccinated,de flea and wormed and treated for skin parasites.

Barneys is a gorgeous white / brindle Whippet cross that weighs 22kg and is approx 8 years old, he was saved from the Chinese meat market by Candys Rescue. Yes dogs are food in China, if you don't know the meat markets are absolutely evil and the treatment the dogs get and the things they have seen is nothing short of hell.

Barney is one of the lucky ones and has come to us in the UK to find his forever home. If you are not aware, there are no animal welfare laws in China so no dog is ever safe there, which is why the dogs are sent overseas to be rehomed, to make sure they are safe and loved for life! On arrival Barney was quite overwhelmed, but didn't take him long to attach himself to us, he had a 14 hour flight followed by a few hours drive and all he wanted was to have a snuggle with me, its very easy to fall in love with this adorable little lad. I mean, just look at him. He is ready for his future, away from the horrors of the Chinese meat market. On Arrival Barney had a dental and needed to have 7 teeth removed, he wont need any further routine medical work.

Barney is fit as a fiddle and what a diva he has now become ,Barney is quite literally amazing, he will snuggle with you every opportunity he gets, its adorable!! So calm and well behaved I just know the perfect home is waiting patiently for a dog just like him!! Barney is always so happy to see you, he will literally throw himself at you for a cuddle, he really is the sweetest little lad.

Milo needs a forever home 💕

Please meet Magnificent Milo!

Milo is a gorgeous lurcher that turns 3 years old in August 2025, he was sadly born into rescue kennels in China where his pregnant mum was rescued from the meat market. Poor Milo has never had his own home, and never felt grass under his paws until he arrived in the UK with us, he is adjusting really well to all the changes and just loves to follow you around, and sleep!

Luckily, Milo hasn't experienced any of that as he was born in the rescue, he is one of the lucky ones and has come to us in the UK to find his forever home. Milo is a very typical Whippet character, he is a very calm lady not a bonkers dog, although he does love to zoomie when the mood takes him! That said, he is more than happy to snooze in his bed for a few hours if he needs to be left.

He would love a family to play with him and keep him occupied, he loves a walk and loves to greet everyone he meets! he is house trained and non-destructive - happy to be left snoozing on the sofa by himself, absolutely adores other dogs so could happily live with a companion. I think this would be beneficial for him as he has never been an only dog, and a confident dog will help him adjust to pet life.

Riverside Veterinary Surgery - GraysWell, our Darya is one very lucky girl! She survived bloat and her bloods and temperature are back to normal and she is back to herself. We are obviously still keeping her rested and she won’t be coming on walks for a couple of weeks while her stomach heals, but it looks like the worst is over ❤️‍🩹

We cannot thank Marta at Riverside vets enough, she quite literally saved this girls life by coming in on her day off to do the surgery. Darya literally owes her life to Marta and the team.

Nobody expected this girl to pull through, and her recovery has been amazing, if ever a dog was determined to live it’s these China dogs, and while they fight, we will fight for them 👌

Well done Darya, you big dope 🤣

Hi Sarah, it was really lovely to see you again yesterday and I hope it made your heart smile to see the girls. They are amazing and we can’t thank you enough. ❤️❤️Now to the little man. We arrived back home slightly after midnight and he came to ours for a cuppa and he decided from the get go that he’d go into the toy chest and take something out to play. He had a wonder around, a good sniff of the garden and made himself comfortable on the rug. I think he’s now an honorary Newf! He later went home with his new bro, ate like a horse and slept all night, no peep. He’d had some whoopsies but that’s obviously to be expected. Today he’s loved playing with more toys, came to ours again for a playdate and we all went for a nice walk and he got the chance to wet his tiny paws in the stream. He’s taking it all in his stride and I know someone’s over the moon and completely smitten😍 . Thank you xx

We got quite the display from the wildlife tonight 🙈 a deer ran into the side of the van on our way to the farm and smashed the wing mirror, then we had a gorgeous barn owl join us for the evenings walk ❤️
