Today, Wachusett Chinooks celebrates the life of Granite Hill Timmee Atole (Tim-May), 6/21/2011- 9/10/2024. She left us to cross over . She has been a quirky, funny girl. An awesome part of our pack, a wonderful Mother and a Savior, who loved all puppies so much, she would sneak into the pen (jumping over it) when Cassie was outside, just to be with them. She doted over her own pups so much we had to force her to leave them so she could eat, stretch her legs and do her business. Her Litter had to be the cleanest Chinook puppies there ever were! She stepped in when Guenhwyvar got scratched by her own pups at just shy of 4 weeks old, while nursing and vacated the job. Guenhwyvar would frequently check on her pups, but would want to leave the pen if they tried to nurse. Grandmother Timmee took over, spent many hours over the next weeks in the pen, as the pups were weaned, allowed the pups to nurse as they pleased and actually came into milk.
Timmee barely barked, but was very vocal and made her desires known. She tried her best in the UKC show ring, earning two legs towards her Champion status, but really only wanted to get back to the car so she could go home, so we went no further on that adventure.. There was always a toy or stick in her mouth. She was not a kisser, but an ear sniffer.
She crossed over the Rainbow Bridge on 9/10/2024, a Tuesday evening, at home, with the help of a very caring Vet. I have barely digested Timmee being gone. Her absence is felt very much. The remaining Wachusett Pack, Finley and Guenhwyvar are wanting more attention and Eragon (22 months) does not seem much different- he is younger and had less time spent with Timmee. It is sure different here. 2 months ago I had 5 Chinooks. We are now a pack of just 3 Chinooks. A different life😞. Timmee, you will always be in our hearts and never forgotten💔🌈.
