We are thrilled to announce that we've just had air-conditioning installed in our grooming salon! 🐾✨🌬

This means we can now pamper your beloved furbabies in complete comfort, whatever the weather outside. We’ll be as cool as a cucumber in summer, and it will also keep us cosy in the colder months! 🌞❄️

But that’s not all – this new system is a heat pump, aligning perfectly with our commitment to eco-friendly and sustainable practices ♻️👏

Heat pumps are incredibly efficient, using less energy and producing lower emissions compared to traditional systems. This helps us reduce our carbon footprint while providing top-notch care for your pets! 🐾🩷

We also want to remind you of the dangers of walking pets in hot weather 🥵 High temperatures can lead to heatstroke and burned paw pads, posing serious health risks to your furry friends🌡

HOW TO KEEP YOUR DOG COOL 🍃

1. Provide Fresh Water: Ensure your dog has constant access to fresh, cool water 💦
2. Shade & Cool Areas: Keep your dog in shaded or air-conditioned areas 🕶️
3. Limit Exercise: Avoid walks and play during peak heat hours (10 a.m. - 4 p.m.) ⏰
4. Paw Protection: Test pavement with your hand; if it's too hot for you, it’s too hot for them 🔥
5. Cooling Products: Use cooling mats and wet towels.
6.Never Leave in Cars: Temperatures inside a car can become deadly within minutes ❌🚗

WHAT TO DO IN AN EMERGENCY 🆘

1. Move to a Cool Area: Immediately take your dog to a shaded or air-conditioned spot.
2. Apply Cool Water: Use cool (not cold) water on their body, focusing on the underbelly, paws, and head.

We are delighted to share with you all that, here at Law's Paws, we take safety and wellbeing very seriously, which is why we are proud to announce that our team is first aid trained in iPET Network Level 3 Award in Canine Emergency First Aid! 🩺🐾

Let's face it, accidents can happen at any time, and being equipped with the knowledge to handle emergencies can be life-saving! ❤️

We've covered CPR, Heatstroke, Seizures, First Aid Response, fractures, wounds, poisoning, collapse, Bee stings, Wasp Stings, Haematoma, Contusion, Gastric Torsion, Burns, Electrocution, Hypothermia, Heart rates, Respiratory Rates, Banadaging AND MORE!!

🐾 Ted's First Groom of the Year at Law's Paws! 🐶

This little fluffy cockapoo had a ball during his first groom of the year! Ted had some good, clean fun in the tub & he sure is squeaky clean now! 🛁

We even had some lovely snogs & hugs during his pampering session. We always love to shower our guests with love & affection, not just shampoo! 😆🥰

Ted received some nose & paw balm to keep those delicate areas moisturised & protected. And of course we gave him a little ear clean to ensure his hearing is in tip-top shape. We wouldn't want him to miss out on any calls for treats! 😉

Can we all just take a moment to appreciate how absolutely adorable this little guy is? Ted has got to be one of the most loving & patient souls out there. We're so lucky that he dropped in on us today!
