Pack walker on the Kāpiti Coast

Busy street walk with Alfie today. He struggled to stay focused with all the sounds and distractions around him, so we finished off the structured walk by clipping on a long line and doing some zoomies in the park with Kora 🐺

The Friday mini pack 😍
The little dudes did SO well today meeting each other for the first time!
Caesar is still a nervous wee dog, but Alfie gave him the space he needed to feel comfortable in the pack.

This pack has walked most of the expressway track with me now! (Over several walks) We've done from Ōtaki to Paraparaumu so far. Now to tackle the rest of the southern end 🐺

Friday sessions with Alfie and Caesar 🐺

Alfie walked the track next to the busy expressway today, and did great with all the new stimulus of fast cars and cyclists going past us.

Caesar also had a busy walk, going down Kapiti road and stopping for a coffee at

Oh Billy, so camera shy 😂
We started off slow today, doing some basic leash drills to get everyone focused. Makes a big difference to the walk, when you take the time to teach the dog what you need from them.
Start the same way you wish to continue 🐺

Friday walk and train sessions with Alfie and Caesar 🐺
Alfie enjoyed a river walk, and was very happy with the stick he found. He even shared it with Kora.

Caesar met Kora today and did very well walking next to her. Don't they look cute next to each other?! 😍

Welcome Caesar! 🐺

This little guy is pretty nervous of the big wide world, so we are going to work on building his confidence and gradually expose him to more sights and sounds.
Today's session was just to start building a relationship, so he can trust me in the new environments.

Enjoying the sun out on the expressway track today. We got some lovely compliments from people, saying how well behaved the dogs were, sitting quietly while bikes and horses went past us. Very proud of this pack ❤️🐺

I have some openings for pack walking!
I add dogs pretty slowly into my packs, to allow me to build a relationship with each dog and teach them the basics before adding anymore.
My current dogs are doing awesome, and we're ready for new friends!

Lovely walk with my brother Luke from The Hound Way today. Being exposed to other calm on lead dogs was so great for Alfie. He did very well for being in a totally new environment with so many other dogs, well done buddy 😁

Monday pack working beautifully together 😍

Monday packs group walk and solo sessions 🐺

Playing tug with pocket rocket Alfie 🐺 Tug is a great outlet for this guy, blowing off some steam in between obedience sessions. It's also a great way to create a relationship with a dog. He's such a bundle of fun!

Walk and train with Alfie! This was his first session with me, so we're starting with the basics. Teaching him how to turn off leash pressure, and rewarding engagement with me.
