Pet Abuse Is this Normal? Pet Abuse is growing problem throughout the world. People need to demand CHANGE! Please do not repo Bringing awareness to the Pet Abuse throughout the world.

My vision is not to glorify or to horrify, but to simply show how much Pet Abuse “We” have in the world. If you see Pet Abuse, do your part. Report it to the authorities in your area. Call local Pet rescue groups it help. Take photos or video and document everything you can. This page is about Pets, such as dogs, cats and horses that are considered pets or strays, who have been neglected, beaten a

bused or starved. Unfortunately there are lots of animals being abused world wide, such as cows and chickens and dogs in China’s food chain, it is impossible to focus on them all, there for this page will be for pets that are not part of the food chain… I hope you understand. Thank you. Trying to make public awareness to the abuse in neighborhoods world wide.

Lenoa Update: She's fighting, in great care. Please continue to share, pray and donate. Thank you.

Lenoa Update: Because we have amazing vets - Lenona went home with Dr. Wilfert to continue her care. There is no question , this girl is in bad shape - like it is shameful and hard to look at - but I can't even put into words how sweet this girl is - she does not have a lot of energy but she will use what she has to give you kisses and a faint wag of that tail. It is always a fine line you walk with dogs in this condition but this is what I know - she got immediate care last night at the shelter (thank you Anderson County PAWS) which included a blood transfusion, she was fed very small amounts, she was released to get emergency care and is getting the best of the best care now and we will do whatever it takes to get her through this. To have survived what she has is nothing short of a miracle - her temperature on intake at the shelter was 91.3 her HCT (red blood cell count) was 9.68% - that is bad folks - real bad and thankfully she was given a blood transfusion last night .
She is on a proper re-feeding schedule - continuing with Iv fluids - Dr. Wilfert has her temp up to 99.5 -
Keep fighting Leona - we are all fighting with her and a HUGE thank you to Dr. Wilfert for taking her home to continue her care - she is getting so much love which she is craving.
Long day rescue family without a doubt but we will keep marching forward and continue to fight for these innocent creatures without a voice

CHARLESTON, SC.....2 y/o Belgian Malinois, Starved and Abandoned needs Critical Care NOW to Survive. Please, Help Us, Help Her by DONATING.

https://www.noahs-arks.net/animal/view/annabelle-cvrc

CHARLESTON, SC....Sweet Annabelle is one of the most innocent pups you will ever meet. She is a 2 year old Belgian Malinois puppy. Someone starved her almost to Death. On a scale of 0-9, zero means you are dead, Annabelle is a 1. She should be 50+ lbs and barely weighs 20. Someone left this dying, emaciated pup in the parking lot of Charleston Humane Society. CVRC was contacted for help, and they contacted us.

There are so many things going on with this precious pup from being starved that there is no use in listing them all. She is being closely monitored for Refeeding-Syndrome when an animal's organs have already begun to shut down from lack of food and water. Until her organs slowly return to life and function normally, we must adjust her meds based on her values.

We rescued Annabelle on Tuesday morning. Charleston Animal Society said they would probably euthanize her based on her condition, which is why we took over her care. CVRC Critical Care Team has taken over her care. They have been working 24 hrs a day to do what they could for her to survive.

I did not want to send a desperate plea if I did not think we could save her. I needed to know if she had the Will to Live or was past that point. I get desperate pleas daily for animals I know are nothing more than a poster for a group to get funds that will never be used to save the animal. I was rescuing Annabelle to give her a chance at Life, and if she passed, she would not be alone and would know Love. If our precious girl had passed, I would have told each of you about her Life from the moment we rescued her until she crossed over.

The animals we rescue become Family to us from the moment we save them. They are not a dollar sign or a poster to get more funds. They are living, breathing animals that deserve love and unconditional care. No animal should be treated the way this precious pup has been treated. How anyone could look at her and not scoop her into their arms and run for help is beyond me.

After lengthy daily discussions with her Medical Team, I am cautiously optimistic we can save Annabelle. Last night I approved her to have a live donor transfusion instead of packed cells. Annabelle was cross-matched, and a Donor was located. Everything going on with our sweet pup meant she would benefit from live donor blood. She is a little perkier and more alert than the previous day after her transfusion. It was the right call to make.

Saving Annabelle is not going to be a few days in the ER. It will be weeks of Critical Care until her body can take over. She is not on Life Support. We are not keeping her alive with machines. We allow her body to wake up with supportive care until it can take over. Annabelle can give up and die at any time. As of this morning, she could stand alone and give kisses briefly. She is more alert now than she has been all week.

Her body has to have time to rest and heal from the horrible, unforgiving neglect and abuse she has endured. I am shocked she was alive when she was found. It would have been only a matter of time before her Will to Live would not have been enough. The best news is that she is in the best hands, and there is nothing we will not do to save an abused dog fighting for its Life.

With your Love and Support, anything is possible. Please, Donate toward Annabelle and give her the Gift of Life.

Demand PetSmart stop this insane ruse...
Adopting without spaying/ neutering is what? Selling animals. That's not adopting. Adopting is making sure the animal is cared for and receives medical care, and doesn't reproduce. Selling animals without vetting is pure profit, just like any other backyard seller that's a 1000 steps backwards not forwards.

“We adapt where change is needed, and this one is urgently needed to save pets’ lives.” That was Aimee Gilbreath, president of PetSmart Charities, sharing her perspective about a bold decision she and the team made recently. Beginning in July 2023 — just ahead of PetSmart Charities National ...

SEBASTIAN UPDATE ❤️

After a nervous evening yesterday as Sebastian’s temperature was very low, he finally perked back up from his procedure and started to warm up and eat around 9pm last night 😊
Surrounded by warmers and blankets , he made it thru the night and this morning showed a bit more energy …that was lovely news !
We had also requested the help of our amazing friend Kim Buck from Distance Energy Healing for Animals to stabilize him and give him as much energy to fight ! We couldn’t bear the thought of losing this sweet after everything he had gone thru to survive !

We decided to keep him hospitalized and monitored for another day thru tomorrow to give him a chance to benefit from the IV fluids and injectable antibiotics which will work faster on his massive infection.

As of tonight , we are still unsure whether he will be able to regain use of that leg but we will sure try our hardest to grant him all the care he needs to make a full recovery !

Our bill has gone up of course with an additional day spent in the hospital and we are still trying to raise the initial $1200 so we really need everyone to rally and donate what they can 💔
So far we have $700 so we need another $500 to cover the bill to date …
Thank you for donating and sharing his story far and wide …he so deserves a new lease on life !

Donations can be made thru our fundraiser or our PayPal account at www.PayPal.me/trevorfoundation or via Venmo using or by calling Primary Care directly at (562) 274-7776

We can do it ! You can do it Sebastian ! We are all rooting for you ❤️

Thank Goodness, she's been caught and is safe.

💗Safe and Caught thanks to the incredible South Lyon Murphy Lost Animal Recovery ❤️ we will be reviewing all the applications that came in!!! Thanks everyone for your kind support we will post the update soon!!!

This is urgent and heartbreaking. This beautiful German shepherd dog has been wandering the streets with his toy stuffy in his mouth. We were told his owner passed away. The amazing South Lyon Murphy group will be on this mission to save him early Tuesday morning.

We need a foster for him in hopes that we get him. The foster must be a strong handler as we don’t know much about this poor guy we now call Nicholas in honor and in memory of a fellow rescuer’s beloved son.

We will board him until we find a handler for him.But would love to get him in foster care.

We will need funds for boarding shots, heartworm test, etc. Please if you would donate to Nicholas’ fund, we would so much appreciate it.

Please go to our website at www.almosthomeanimals.org and fill out a foster application. Together we will save his life.

Quick Crush update. She's doing well after surgery. For that's who don't know Crush's story. Some crazy person tired her to a zipline, and proceeded to SHOOT her. :'( She's a hot mess, thankfully, she's getting a second chance.

Good morning everyone!

It’s May 1st which means it’s Bucks for Bullies day. We’re also going to do our best to update everyone on Crush’s status, but before we do, we’d like to ask everyone to please exercise some patience in this situation. We ALWAYS, ALWAYS update when we have updates to share, so commenting on posts for “updates”, sending emails and phone calls is a bit overkill. We won’t update IN a post, but will rather give the updates their own posts - SO FOLLOW THE MAIN PAGE.

Now, onto the business at hand…

First and foremost, we started Bucks for Bullies 12 years ago as a way for everyone to make a big difference in a small way. One dollar from each person on this page would equal about $26,000 which is about the same amount Crush’s care will be. IT ADDS UP QUICK, and is why we started this. It’s been an ongoing fundraiser each month for as long as we’ve been doing this.

In the last 2 weeks we have brought in 8 dogs, all of whom have continuing health issues. (Please go to our page to see those dogs). We also have 25 other dogs currently in our care that need monthly preventatives, food, training, and toys in an effort to prepare them for their adoptive families. These things cost money, hence the need for the Bucks for Bullies fundraiser. Donations can be made through either link on this post.

We don’t have any updated pictures on our girl *yet*. We asked for some through her journey at the hospital and were promised that they’d send them, but they did not. SO, you’re stuck with pics we took before her surgery. 🤷‍♀️

Crush had her first surgery yesterday morning. They repaired her right shoulder and femur. All went well. This morning they are going in and scoping her left knee as it had some minor damage, and splinting her left wrist (the one with the gaping hole) as it was dislocated a bit. We are being promised that she will be UP on all four legs by the time she leaves the hospital which is our goal. She will have a solid 6 week recovery, but there’s every indication that she will do well, so we have to believe that for now.

Barring no additional complications, Crush should be able to leave the hospital no later than Wednesday. We will update more as we have it. Until then, we would like to extend our gratitude for the love and care you’re showing her from far and wide. ❤️

Crush some sicko zip tied her together and proceeded to shoot her multiple times.

Many think it was Helen of Troy behind the quote “the face that launched a thousand ships”, but it was really Crush of Dayton. 💕

As of the time of this post we’re sitting at a little over $15,000 towards our $20,000 goal. Crush is being picked up from our Vet around 2:30 and will be making the hour drive south to Dr Maritato where he will (hopefully) piece our girl back together with little issue.

We need to hit this goal before this evening and believe it can be done, so LETS GET BUSY!!

There are many posts on our page telling her story. Please visit for the details, but in a nutshell, some sicko zip tied her together and proceeded to shoot her multiple times. She is shattered in 3 legs, and her only chance at this point, is surgery. That chance was hard to find as the extent of her injuries are significant to the point of no one wanting to touch her, but we felt after EVERYTHING she has been through, that she deserves this. So we’re giving it to her.

We simply cannot adequately express our gratitude for those who have helped us get to this point. When we are asked to take dogs like Crush, and when foster space allows, we always say “yes” because we KNOW you all will run to hold us high and to support us and our MVPs. We have stated from day one that the Miami Valley Pit Crew’s supporters are second to none, and you have proven that over and over again!

Please stay tuned this afternoon as we will be posting pics and videos of her on her journey south!

No, we don’t know who did this.
Yes, we are investigating.
No, this did not happen in Dayton.

Cool Calvin update. He's still fighting for his life, but improving more and more. Please continue to pray, share and if possible please donate.

The name is Calvin....Cool Calvin for you.
His hemocrit isn't improving as much as we'd like but hopefully increasing his food allowance will help.
He's starting lazer therapy for the leg and will continue on his antibiotics and steroids.

A full package of lazer treatment will cost us $400 but it is worth it to see if we can advance the healing of his leg. Of course, we didn't have the heart to tell Calvin the shades are to protect his eyes and not exactly to raise his cool factor.

Calvins' immune system is still too weak to vaccinate but we will begin, at least, with bordatella.

Overall, Calvin is hanging tough and making us proud. Huge thank you to Wendy, his medical Foster mom who is taking the most awesome care of our boy.

Adira update, precious mama survived surgery. Thankfully she will never have to have another liter of babies. Sadly they don't know where her babies could be, at least Adira is safe.

We have an update on Adira, the mama we rescued yesterday after receiving a frantic call for help from a municipal shelter. Sweet Adira was dropped at the shelter, bleeding with a deceased fetus lodged in her birth canal. The shelter vet moved quickly to remove the baby while we tagged her for rescue and rushed her to an emergency hospital that had a surgeon on standby. When Adira arrived, they worked quickly to stop the bleeding and took X-rays to check for more babies. Sadly, there were no other babies, and we have no information on where those babies could be. The person who abandoned Adira handed her to shelter staff and left without leaving any information. The vet staff said Adira looked like she had been bred multiple times in her life.😞

The doctors performed a spay surgery for suspected Pyometra and started her on antibiotics to combat any infection. Adira is now in the care of Dr. Terry. She is on IV antibiotics and supportive care, being showered in affection by the staff. 🕊️

We are so thankful to our community for coming together to save Adira. Our hearts are broken for this poor girl. We promised her that better days are ahead and that she has a whole community of people who love her dearly already.❤️

We named her Adira. It means “strong one.”
