About CurliWinks Cats

My love of cats started at an early age with cat breeding running in the family. I was exposed to pedigree cats and the show world in my pre-teens with my uncle breeding Siamese under the Scuderia prefix and running a boarding cattery in Auckland, New Zealand.

In 1993 I brought my first pedigree cat – a Seal Lynx Point Siamese and showed ‘Perry’ for many years with the New Zealand Cat Fancy until retiring him.

After a break from the cat world I purchased a Black Smoke Devon Rex from Chatpixie Devon Rex – Mr. Ripley and totally fell in love with Devon Rex and decided to take up breeding these delightful cats, fulfilling a lifelong dream to make cats a major part of my life.

CurliWinks Cattery was registered in 2001 and the adoption in 2002 of Gr.Ch. Makinwaves Southern Belle, “Bella” – a beautiful Black Smoke Tortie & White queen, who started me along this lifelong journey.
