My little man Nitro earned his first NACSW Element Specialty Interior Level one title today! His first trial of the year! A great way to start it off! Thanks so much Chris Busch Laura Busch Anita Cheesman, Jessica Koester for a fun trial! A much needed break for me was appreciated! Looking forward to the next adventure! Another successful AKC ACT event for my students is in the books! ACT1-2 as well as ACT1-2 Jumpers was completed last weekend. We had 130 runs with 79 - Q's, 35 first places, 17 second places, 11 third places and 9 fourth places. More important than all the Q's and placements was the fact that everyone was able to benchmark their progress and know more of what they need to work of for the future. GREAT work by all the competitors - they stepped out of their shell and gave it a try! Congratulations to all!!! Thank you Jennifer Maloney for the photos - these are just a handful of the competitors.

I always like to follow my stats for the year not for comparison but to remind myself of how hard my dogs and I work even when sometimes it doesn't seem like we did anything....We had some challenges this year, Rain and lots of it...January, February and March were litterly only 26 days of work for me in total! That also meant practice time was limited as well. We used most of our events as practice because that is all we really had! We had some family issues that took away some of my personal time and other business dealings that had to be dealt with and took up some of my time. All in all however I am pretty pleased with my dogs results.
**Hemi who just started trialing in AKC Scentwork in July of 2023 earned his SBN - Scentwork Buried Novice Title as well as his SIN Scentwork Interior Novice title. He is two Q's away from his Scentwork Exterior title and one from his Scentwork Container Title which will give him his overall Novice Scentwork Title.
***Hemi also did quite a bit of Dock Diving in the Spring and Summer. He really likes it so we play because of that. Hemi has earned 20 legs now towards his Dock Senior Advanced. He still needs 10 more legs. He also earned three legs towards his Dock master title and needs two more for that title. He could potentially also earn his Dock Junior title, but that means we messed up if he gets that :-P.
***Hemi participated in his first NACSW trial as an FEO dog this year (for Exhibition Only) and he will be playing for real on January 14th in Chino as he got in and Nitro didn't

We had a super fun morning in San Diego at Jamie Bozzi ORT for NACSW.

Thanks to Laura Busch and Chris Busch for being excellent judge and CO.

LHT Aussies Hemi received his ORT title today and Nitro came along as FEO to get some more container practice in and he killed it!

Congratulations to all 10 of my teams that participated in the 2023 Spring Summer AKC Agility League which is a National event put on by AKC - six rounds in 12 weeks. There were a LOT of teams! I don't know how many or how many dogs overall, but there were a lot!
We participated in the Regulation Western Division and everyone did great in the Senior, Sophomore and Freshman levels! I even had three Jr. Handlers that all participated and ranked in the top four juniors!
We had 23 participants in our own group that earned the "Clean Sweep Award" That is NO faults in all six rounds. They all did awesome!
I would like to recognize the individual awards as well as I had nine individuals that place in the top four of their jump height divisions in their respective levels - this is OUTSTANDING!!

A fun weekend with my pups! We did the AKC scentwork trial in El Cajon and although it was warm it was mostly cloudy and there was a slight breeze so it was doable. Only two elements at this event so Hemi was a Novice A in both Interiors and Buried. He falsed in interiors smelling odor from door opening and closing but he killed it in Buried and had a nice clear alert! Nitro my Mr. Cool and always precise will never be first but always sure. He Qd in both Advanced buried and Advanced Interiors. So much fun to be back at this level and enjoying the day with all my students!! Great job everyone!! Jumpin' K-9's, Inc. Great job Twelvey!!

So very proud of our Twelvey!!!!
AKC started a super fun Agility League pilot in 2022 for teams to get together all across the United States and compete. I entered Twelvey in the Season 3 Winter League.
She had such a blast! We are both somewhat Agility newbies but she gave it her all!
She came in 3rd place for 20” Preferred Freshman in the Nation!
Congratulations to the hundreds who joined and competed in this fun, new adventure.
Congratulations most of all to my teammates of “Anything Is Pawsible.” They all kicked butt too. It’s like a little family.
And thank you so much to Cindy Valdez of Jumpin’ K9’s for all of her support and working so hard for us all to be able to compete.

Congratulations to all my teams that participated in the 2022/2023 AKC Agility League for the Winter league! We had a great time and loved the courses that were designed by Debby Wheeler. Looking forward to adding another team (We will have TEN teams in the 2023 Spring Summer League) and several new players adding to already existing teams. This is a GREAT way to introduce AKC courses to your students and to give them a fun competition experience without leaving their home turf. Thank you AKC Agility League we are having a blast!

Congratulations to all my teams that competed in the 2023 AKC Winter Agility league! It was a blast!!

Our Senior level dogs that were up against some pretty amazing dogs came in 4th place in the Western Division and 27th out of 43 teams. Our Top Ten dogs in their jump heights at this level were Brenda Flaherty-Piper and Speed - they were #10 in the 8" Regular level. Brenda Flaherty-Piper and Pupcakes were #9 in the 8" Preferred level and Rebecca Kahn and Bucky were #8 in the 20" Preferred division!

Our Sophomore Division had three teams in it. Puppy Power!! Took 2nd Place over all - Reserve Champion and 1st in the Western Division! Way to go team!!! The dogs that will win prizes (Top 4 in each level) were:

This past Saturday Jumpin' K-9's, Inc. celebrated TWENTY - 20 years of business in the Temecula Wine country! We had an amazing day, the weather was perfect - the energy was glowing and I was surrounded by the best community a person could have ever asked for. Thank you to all those that have been a student, competitor, judge, trial secretary, vendor, volunteer, and of course my husband who has supported me in this journey for all these years. It's been an amazing twenty years! Twenty years goes by fast when you are doing something you love. Looking forward to many more years (maybe not 20...LOL!) Thank you again! This was a very productive weekend for the Jumpin' K-9's teams! So many Q's, placements and titles! But this was another very special title that happened today. Brenda Flaherty-Piper and her Papillon - Speed McQueen earned their very first MACH today (AKC Master Agility Championship). They also will be participating in the 2024 AKC Nationals next year. A Big Congratulations to this fun team!!! Brenda just moved away from California and built a new home in Idaho, we are surely going to miss them but are super happy that they came back to California to run with their friends and JK9's team members to get that entry to Nationals and the cherry on the cake getting the MACH! A wonderful achievement for a very talented team! Congratulations!

Congratulations to Aaron Wallin and his teammate Deckard in their well deserved PACH! This is an AKC Preferred level Championship which is quite an achievement. In order to earn this award the dog and handler must compete in all levels Novice, Open, Excellent and Masters Jumpers with weaves and Standard and complete all those requirements. When in masters the dog then has to have two clean runs in JWW and Standard in every trial in order to accumulate 20 double qualifying runs and they have to earn 750 total points (points are seconds under the standard course time determined by the judge.) Look for this team in the 2024 AKC Nationals!! Congratulations!!!
