Day Four: Shark Training 😬
Trainers smack the water with the target stick to cue the shark, which responds with a nose target. Pretty cool!
Day Three: Seal Training. The seals learn many clever tricks but the most important behaviours they learn are those that help the staff take care of their health and well-being.
Ear and eye checks, teeth cleaning, body examinations, X-ray training and blood taking.
It’s wonderful seeing how comfortable they are with these procedures 💕
Day Two: Polar Bear Training.
Here you will see a cheek target and paw targeting.
Training is used for cooperative care and enrichment for the polar bears 💕
Day One at the Australasian Animal Training Conference.
Todays live training demonstrations with the dolphins included, co operative care training for vaccinations, ultrasounds, insertion of gastric tubes and blood draws.

Cooper is 15 weeks old and almost finished puppy classes. Yesterday his owner began loose leash walking skills with him and we visited a local coffee shop.

These cuties went for a walk through the clinic during puppy class on Monday night.
✅ Building positive associations in all areas of the veterinary clinic is so important for future vet visits.
✅ Walking through, checking out the cages and playing with your friends helps all the puppies have a great time.
Bella has been learning these behaviour individually so now we can begin putting them together.
⭐️This type of training not only increases the bond between you and you dog but it’s also great for hot or rainy days when you don’t want to work out side.
