Today we soaked up the March sun with a walk by the water! ☀️🌊 We found a beautiful tree starting to blossom along the way, and the perfect photo op for these gorgeous models. 😌🌸💚

The last hike of February went out with a bang! ☀️ So many little birdies out in the sunshine as the PNW prepares for flower season 🌷🌿, and the cherry blossoms will be popping before we know it! 😌🌸💚 Also, how pretty is Marcel and Cashew’s cat sister Amber Rose?! (Second pic 😍) I love her! 😻

Abundant sunshine and a high of 65°! It looks like Spring is just about to greet us. ☀️🌷💚 We enjoyed a beautiful hike through the forest, then headed over to the pet store to celebrate Mr. C’s upcoming birthday!! 🥳 He found a squirrel like the GD ones he always chases in his backyard (even though I think this is technically a chipmunk but let’s not tell him 🤣). Great choice Mr. C!!!! 🐿️

Happy Birthday to my little potato who I’ve known and loved for I think almost 10 years?! Something crazy like that. He wouldn’t want me to expose him like this, but he’s actually the biggest love bug once you’re in his (very small very exclusive) circle, and I’m so glad I made the cut the second he and I met all those years ago! 🥹 Thank you for being my steady most trustworthy friend, and for always having my back. 🙏🏼💚 I’m honored to celebrate another year of kisses, wiggles, judgment, and tiny grumbles. 😂 I love you so much Mr. C!!! 🥔😭💚🐶

Today there was a woman and her dog walking behind us, so we pulled over to let them pass and when she walked by said “wow so professional!!” and genuinely seemed impressed 🥹, so that obviously made all of our days! 💚 (The dogs love getting compliments too of course hehehe 😆🥰.)

We’re back from the snowstorm and hitting the trails! 🌲 It was so great to stretch our legs in the fresh air, and then we stopped by the pet store to celebrate My Tiniest Friend Poppy’s bday!! 🥹 (Which is actually on Valentine’s Day and could not be any cuter. 😭🥰) Poppy found a set of three little friends who have the same cute happy energy as she does! Great choice!! 😆

Happy Birthday to sweet Poppy!!! 💚 You make me feel so happy and loved with all your excited greetings and exuberant energy that constantly makes me laugh (and everyone on my IG story too 😂)! I love you so much and I’m so glad to call you my friend and celebrate another year with you!!! 🥹🥳🐼💚

One of the things that helps me stay centered during really difficult times is knowing how much my way of being impacts my dogs. They pick up on everything and always report back on your energy through their behavior. In one way it’s hard to have that constant reflection, but in another way it can provide a checkpoint for your own inner life and continue bringing you back to center when you start to spin out. When things feel overwhelming, focus on providing a consistent calm energy for your dogs to trust and feel safe with. This is how having dogs in our lives can continue growing us into someone who can remain steady when things feel like they’re falling apart, and one of the reasons working with them can be such a huge gift if we’re open to it. 🙏🏼💚🐶

A wonderful fern filled hike with Mr. C & The Herders, followed by a trip to the pet store to celebrate Dizzy’s birthday on Monday!!! 🥳 He picked out a beautiful Japanese Koi Fish that he’s very excited about! 😍 Great choice, buddy!! 🥰💚

Congrats to Dizzy’s mom for raising over $21,000 to rescue dogs from LA, OR, and TX at her 24hr Drumathon!!! 😍🥁⚡️🐶💚 Me and Scout’s mom (Laura) went to cheer her on today, and I feel so grateful to dogs for connecting me with some of the best people on the planet. 🥹🐶🫶🏻 (Second pic is of all our fur babies! 🐶)

We had a nice calming hike by the water checking out all the ducks and squirrels hanging around. 🥰🦆 I find walking near bodies of water very relaxing and enjoy switching up the green of the forest to the blue of the river from time to time. 😌🌲🌊 Nature is the perfect place to go when life feels a little heavy, and I hope you have a quiet spot where you can restore yourself too. ✨🙏🏼✨

Today my best old lady dog Dani got to come on the hike, and she had so much fun!! 🥰 She’s turning 16 in April and is walking slower these days, so we went to the park to make sure we had plenty of space to go at her pace. 🧘🏼‍♀️ The pack were all amazing in supporting her and it felt so good being together in the sunshine! 🥹🌳☀️
