Look at all these good boys!!! 😭💚 Today we passed someone on the trail who saw us and said “that’s so sweet!” and I was like… it really is. 🥹🥹🥹 It makes me happy when we pass people and make them smile. I know I smile every time I walk past a dog and I know how much joy they bring even on the worst of days! Grateful for these friends. Grateful for this day. 🥰💚🐶

Today was Oakley’s second hike and his first group photo!! 😍🙌🏼 He also met Alby for the first time, and they were immediately cool with each other’s vibe. 😎 All it took was a couple reminder laps in the parking lot for Oakley to engage his pack hike heeler brain, and the rest of the hike was like a dream! 🥹 Yeah Oakley!! I’m so proud of all these boys today. 😭 In case you couldn’t tell, I freaking love your dogs!! 🥹💚🐶

Everyone meet my new friend Oakley!!!! 😍 Today was Oakley’s first hike out with Marcel and Mr. C and he did amazing. 😭 I worked a lot with him on “moving off pressure” (meaning my energy) which dogs are doing all the time with each other to communicate play, boundaries, etc. Herding breeds use energy/pressure to move herds of cattle, and so this is something that will come naturally to a herding dog like Oakley, but it’s something I practice with all dogs all the time. If I move into their space, I’m asking them to move away from my energy. If I move forward (like on a hike), I’m asking them to follow my energy and move back behind if they get ahead of me. At first Oakley would stick himself in position rather than move with the energy, but eventually he was like “ohhhh this is what we’re doing” and started moving with me! It’s the best feeling to see a dog’s brain and body language switch over into working WITH me, and then we sync up like in Avatar when they join ponytails with the animals and connect their energy that way 😂. ANYWAY! Yayyyy Oakley!! Great job on your first hike and welcome to the Furry Forest Family!! 🥰🐶💃🏼🐶💚

Very busy beginning of summer trails means more car photos are coming up (so we don’t block the trails hehe)! 😅😍 By the time the herders had posed themselves nicely, Mr. C decided he was content up front roasting like a baked potato in the sun (so on brand for him 🥔). Wow it’s almost June and we’re here for the sunshine!! ☀️

An overcast morning turned into a gorgeous sunny hike with these sweethearts! 😍🌿 We dodged horse poo and had some nice on trail compliments from strangers and overall rate this experience 10/10. 😎☀️

Hot happy dogs cooling off in the shade! 😛🌲 It was a warm one but we made it out early enough to avoid the 90s predicted today. 🥵 Make sure your puppies have lots of water and cool spots to relax in this weekend!… and give them extra treats as many as they want no questions asked 😌 (Mr. C wrote that last part 🙄🤣).

Little Cashew joined us for his second hike today and he did amazing!! 😍👏🏼 We worked on helping him slow down his brain and move with the pack, which always takes a little time at first and especially with siblings (he and Marcel have their own brotherly dynamic 😂), but by the end we were all moving together in one cohesive energy and it felt so good! 😌✨🌿 Yayyyyy Cashew!!! Yay Marcel for sharing your pack friends with Cashew! Yay Stormy and Mr. C for always working so hard! Yay me for walking multiple dogs in a busy forest!! 😂👌🏼

The first hike of May!! 😎☀️🌿🙌🏼 Such mellow vibes on the trail and in the pack today, despite having four dogs who are naturally very high drive brains. 😆⚡️ We enjoyed the cool damp air mixed with spots of sunshine, and everyone was ready for a nap by the end! 😂🥰

Currently cannot get over how green the forest has gotten and how beautiful all the dogs look posing in it!! 😍🌲🐶🌿 Ahhh such a nice Friday with the best boy pack in town. ☺️ And the rain cleared up just in time for our adventure, so we definitely lucked out! 🌤️

For our first hike of spring, we adventured to the park to see all the gorgeous magnolia trees!! 😍✨🌷 The pack did so well with a different environment and got so many compliments. 🥹 It was a fun side quest from our usual forest paths, and we thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful spring blossoms. 🥰🌱
