It’s Tick Season! Make sure to be on the lookout for ticks on your pets and yourself after a walk. Long grass / woodlands are the main places they lurk but don’t discount checking them even after a beach walk just in case. A tick remover is an essential piece of equipment for all dog owners and can be used safely and easily at home BUT if you are not sure what you are removing or how to do it please consult a professional. Today I went to a castle in Lisbon and saw the wild peacocks with their babies 😊

A whole year of @bailey_bear_barkey being part of the All Paws family.

A typical walk with @feargalbarkey and @bailey_bear_barkey 😂 I spend a lot of time waiting on them but as we walk here 2/3 times a week we all know the route and they always reappear after a couple of minutes adveturing. Scout & Poirot are quite happy sniffing about while we wait 🙄

The magic towel! 💦💦 A fellow dog walker recommended this towel to dry off wet dogs and it’s honestly a game changer. Soaks up so much water and you just wring it out and store it damp. I’ll pop the link to Amazon in the comments for anyone who wants to get one 😃

A quick tour of the new van!! Crates are now fitted so here’s a quick overview; 2 smaller crates on the top, a medium sized crate underneath that can be divided into two smaller crates, a large top crate and two large lower crates, a storage space for towels etc and an area in front of the crates for drying down and changing my boots 🥾 All the crates have two doors that allow for entry and an emergency exit if needed. I’ve just to order and add the rubber mats and then we will be on the road! 🚐

Toby can be ‘a bit much’ sometimes. Scout figured out on Monday how to annoy him even more 😂🤦🏼‍♀️

Poirot is off on an adventure! Poirot (and his mum) are leaving us to head to the Highlands this week so today was our last walk. He’s been a absolute star on his walks the past few years and I know me & Lynn will miss our ball of happy fluff, and I’m sure all his pals will miss him too. Here’s just some of his highlights 💙

Kitty Cat Care.... who, what, when??

Kitty Cat Care is a new venture for me, having been made redundant from my previous job I felt now was the time to do something for me and something I have always wanted to do!

But who am I? Well my name is Steph, I am a registered veterinary nurse with over 20 years experience in a range of practices and have worked with all species; from the fluffiest to the scaliest (is scaliest even a word?) in my time.

Currently I am focusing on looking after animals in their own home; those animals that need caring for but do not necessarily need an overnight carer or companion. Having two dogs and two cats of my own, home stays are not a option right now but definitely something I am looking at options for.

So if you or someone you know is heading away on holiday or away at work then get in touch!
