A good day for hatches today! We have had a hatch of orchid mantis, a hatch of Rhombodera Stalli and most excitingly of all, a double hatch of Deroplatys gorochovi!

This is the 2nd and 3rd hatch of Deroplatys gorochovi in the UK, James Marshall hatched the first!

Very exited to announce that I have been hard at work pairing various species of mantis😎. But most excitingly I have successfully paired Helvia Cardinalis, commonly known as the yellow orchid mantis!

"Exciting news! 🕷️ My first hatch of Stegodyphus dufouri, the pale ladybird spider, are almost ready to venture out on their own. I've already spotted them eagerly munching on melanogaster, and now it's just a matter of time before they start to disperse a bit. Once they're ready, I'll be carefully potting each one individually. Can’t wait to see how they develop from here!"😍

A project we have been working on for a while.
We are trying to get together a place for the praying mantis community with information about care, breeding, and a collection of pictures and so much more.
It wasn't an easy task, and with only a few species at the moment, the excitement is too much not to share with all off you from now, and with well over 45 more species to add information and take pictures of.. it will be a slow process.

It has been a busy few weeks with hatches and pairings. With all the shows recently, I haven't really had time to make a post on what's happening.

Cilnia humeralis - wide armed mantis pairings have been successful with ooths starting to hatch.

I'm very excited to get a hatch of Hierodula timorensis, a new species to the UK hobby 😍

Recent pairings include more cilnia humeralis, Popa spurca, Hierodula patellifera, Creobroter urbanus, Sphodromantis lineola, phidippus Regius Isle juventus and Stodyphyus dufouri.

Breeding has been going well this week with Sphodromantis kersteni, Sphodromantis lineola, Cilnia humeralis, Astyliasula major and Creobroter urbanus all being paired.

I feel weird having to do a post like that but i feel i have to do it.

Our T&C state any complaints if you are not happy with your order or the mantis you received for ANY reason has to be made within 2 hours of receiving your order.

The very few customers ever had problem with orders they always got replacement or fully refund even a few days later because we understand problems might happen the first few days , we even send order out free of charge on a customer had provided wrong address, something wasn't our fault and we didn't had to do anything but we did.

Coming whole 31 days after you received an order first accusing us we dont care about our mantis then demanding refund or replacement , really sorry but wouldn't be tolerated 😊

Added a few species of jumping spiders to the website and also Phyllocrania paradoxa. Jumpers are around I7+ and currently unsexed. I will try to get some sexed later as soon as i get chance 😍
