Kaleena says: “Taking our dogs on walks prior to this group class was a disaster. My fiancé and I were nervous, the dogs were nervous, no one knew what they were doing or what to expect. Now we have the utmost confidence in taking our boys everywhere and they are much better mannered than before.”
Robin Belfield Carson took our Group Class with her foster dog, Dillon. Not only did it help Dillon become more adoptable (and he was eventually adopted into a loving home!), but it helped Robin become a better handler for all her future foster dogs.
Did you know that dogs fostered and adopted through SEK Animal Advocates receive discounted Group Class rates? Send a message for more info!

•Pet your dog, all the time
•Talk to your dog, all the time
•Allow your dog to follow you, all the time
•Allow your dog to be on your lap or laying on your feet, all the time
•Pet, soothe, comfort your dog when it whines or barks for attention...or is simply anxious
•Allow your dog to demand affection/interactions
•Be emotionally dependent on your dog to the point that unhealthy dependency and interactions are no longer noticed
•Allow your dog to do whatever it wants, whenever it wants—aka, provide no structure, rules, or accountability
•Foster an environment of chaos, stress, and anxiety
•Refuse to train and pattern calmness
•Refuse to crate train your dog
•Refuse to correct your dog when inappropriate behavior occurs
•Refuse to train your dog how to be independent/alone by using a “Place” command, “Downstay, and/or “away” time in the crate
•Let your dog out of the crate when it whines or barks
•Avoid training or anything that makes your dog temporarily uncomfortable or unhappy—in other words, cater to your dog’s every desire/need, designing your life around your dog, rather than having your dog fit into yours
•And many, many more...
Basically, baby, soothe, allow, enable, disable, lean on, omit teaching necessary life skills, prioritize what feels good for you rather than what does good for your dog, and through this master plan of leadership-free chaos, and systematic cultivation of creating a toxic dependency between dog and human...you’ll ensure that when you leave, your dog will be a true emotional mess, because you haven’t prepared them to be calm, obedient, strong, resilient, robust, independent, and alone.

Why group class?
🐾Learn basic obedience: in our group classes we cover all the basics. This includes but is not limited to sit, down, stay, and proper leash walking. Not only will your dog learn these cues but YOU will learn the process for teaching your dog ANY new command. The possibilities are endless!
🐾Proper socialization: There is a common misconception about what it means to be a properly socialized dog so let’s talk about it! Our group class puts a huge focus on providing a positive and appropriate socialization experience for your dog. New people, new environment, new dogs- these can all be stressful factors for our dogs and for us… we’re here to help you navigate new situations with ease.
🐾Build your bond: the most important thing we want each dog and owner to walk away from our class with is a stronger bond. We will give you the tools to communicate with your dog more clearly than you ever have before. There will be challenges and triumphs and most importantly a newfound respect for one another. We love helping facilitate this.
Join us! We promise it will be a rewarding experience 🐶💞

Go Lola!! We helped Lola unlock a new skill today 🚴♀️🐕
Check out Louie!! He had one pack structure week at home and it made ALL the difference in building his confidence, facing his fear of other black dogs, and trusting his mom as the pack leader. Go Louie!!
Special thanks to Ottis for volunteering for our session.
Oakley’s Leash Walking Progress
I have to share Oakley’s progress with you all! Oakley is a therapy dog in training who took our group class earlier this year. Oakley is a MAJOR leash puller but now- well, you can see for yourself!
Here’s what his mom had to say:
“I had to share Oakley’s progress with you! I took him to work for a few hours with me this morning and he was SO good! Who knew we’d see a day he would calmly walk right next to me without me even holding on! I had both of my hands free more than not, and he just stayed right by me! This would not have been possible without group class so thank you!”
We are so impressed. Go Oakley and go Lindzi for your commitment and dedication!

Pack Savvy Pet Services by Logan Rink
Hi, my name is Logan Rink. I am a reliable and very experienced animal care professional. I have been working on a professional basis with animals since 2015 but I have been an animal lover my entire life-- ask anyone who knows me! I received my certification for professional dog training in 2016 (with an additional certification to create training plans for dogs in a shelter or rescue environment) and have been enjoying an ongoing apprenticeship with Good Boy!! Professional Dog Training ever since. In addition, I was the assistant director of GypsySoul Rottweiler Rescue (an all breed, foster home based rescue that specialized in Rottweilers) since its conception in 2015 through January 2018. Not only did I run a rescue out of my home, I have also worked in an animal shelter environments, caring for both dogs and cats. I have also teamed up with Good Boy!! to offer training to the staff and volunteers of local shelters across SouthEast Kansas and the surrounding area. In addition, we offer evaluations for shelter dogs with behavioral issues and create a training plan for the staff to implement. I am a huge advocate for rescue and am proud to offer my services to keep small animal shelters safe and make dogs more adoptable!
I have experience with and am comfortable with dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and ages, cats, reptiles, small animals (fish, ferrets, hamsters, etc.), and senior pets. I am proficient in administering medication, including injections.
It is important to me to continue to gain experience and grow my knowledge of training and handling dogs and, now that my client base is growing, I wanted to create a space to market my services and share the awesome experiences I have with all of the animals I have the privilege of caring for.
This year, I have decided to scale down my work in rescue in order to pursue my bachelor’s degree at Pittsburg State. In the mean time, I have been lucky to grow my client base and I am able to care for and train animals of all shapes and sizes every week, while still having time to focus on my studies.
