Whoa! Meet Ollie! He's what we call "Weim Adjacent"!

Ollie was an owner surrender to a shelter in South Georgia and was pulled by our rescue partner, Georgia Canine Rescue and Rehabilitation, Inc since he is such a special boy and a complete charmer!

Ollie is a 4 year old, neutered Vizsla-GSP (See! Weim Adjacent!) looking for a new family to call his own! He is great with other dogs and really loves his people!

We are just getting to know Ollie, so we'll post updates from his foster family, soon! If you are interested in Ollie, please submit an application at https://www.AtlantaLovesWeims.org/adopt

Charlie Dean! Here's an update from his foster family!

Charlie Dean is a bundle of love. His tolerant behavior is truly remarkable. You can simply drop his medicine in his food bowl, and he’ll gobble it right up. He sits patiently for eye drops without pulling away, and even though he isn’t a fan of shirts, he will stand still and lift his paws to help put them on. What a great little helper!

Charlie adapts quickly to new routines and loves brisk, long walks where he can sniff around and catch up on the local gossip! He stays on the path and moves in sync with you like a true gentleman. While he might pull a bit from excitement, he checks in regularly and makes an effort to slow down. We're still learning together!

Charlie is also very tolerant of various sounds and large moving objects. From inflatable costumes and garage doors to foldable chairs, vacuums, and even the excitement of yelling at live sporting events, he takes it all in stride! He truly shows his team spirit while supporting his favorite team!

After our walks, Charlie loves to cuddle up on the couch—by invitation only! Like I said, he’s quite the gentleman. Although he enjoys lounging on the couch and sleeping in bed with you, he only joins if invited. What a polite communicator he is! With gentle excitement, he uses his toys and sitting position to let you know when he’s hungry or needs to go potty. Bonus: when he sleeps in bed with you, he’s like a rock, finding the perfect spot so everyone stays comfortable. So thoughtful!

Charlie Dean is the sweetest dog I’ve ever encountered. Calm and affectionate, he seeks out your space and love. He listens well to simple commands; “Go lay down,” and he goes to his bed, while “Go to bed” sends him to his crate. He also adores car rides and settles down nicely if given a soft space to lay down.

Charlie Dean is truly a diamond of a dog. His ideal forever home would be with an active family that enjoys daily walks to fuel his curiosity. A fenced yard would be perfect for him to run and play fetch. He deserves a home that allows him to rest and soak up all the gentle love he enjoys so much!

We'd love to tell you more! If you are interested in learning more about Charlie Dean, please submit an application on our website at www.AtlantaLovesWeims.org/adopt

Update from Boomer's foster family: Boomer is a strapping boy with beautiful, floppy Weim ears who is very adaptable, loving and a huge cuddle buddy. He’s a counter surfer of note, a sq**rt bottle does the trick. He’s very smart and learns really quickly and we’re amazed at how quickly he’s adapted in 4 days to our schedule. He’ll make a wonderful dog for an active family with older children.

Welcome Boomer! This handsome, very sweet, and very intelligent approx. 2-3 yr old fella with a docked tail is 77 lbs of energy. Boomer loves everyone he meets! He was surrendered to rescue at no fault of his own.

Boomer is housebroken, rides great in the car, and doesn't mind sleeping in his crate although a dog bed in the bedroom is also a great option. (NO cats!).

Boomer is very protective of his stuffies/toys and food around other dogs, so he prefers to be an only dog! But when there's no food or toys around, he loves to romp with other dogs! Boomer will need a family that can provide him with lots of exercise and no small children as he would knock them down.

If you are interested in adopting Boomer, please submit an application via our website: www.atlantalovesweims.org

We have some sad news to share with you...

Titan passed peacefully today surrounded by his foster family who showed him that he was loved - even for the short time he was with us.

Titan came to use from Bainbridge Humane Society in South Georgia where he was an owner surrender, which is heartbreaking considering his condition. He was severely emaciated, heartworm positive and full of parasites - which took a toll on both his body and his heart - but despite what he had experienced in his life, he was loving to everyone he met and accepted kindness without suspicion even though his experience with humans may not have been good.

Titan charmed his way from South Georgia to his foster home in South Carolina with the help of Ellsworth and Pilots N Paws - all angels in disguise!

Thank you to Susanne Newman Cash and family for welcoming Titan into your home and taking care of him as your own. We truly appreciate and admire our foster families that open their homes and their hearts to those that need help.

Rescues are more than a name, we are a network of teams that help to bring sheltered, endangered and surrendered animals to safety to help them on their journey, even if it's to show them love for even the briefest of time. Titan wasn't with us long, but he is a reminder of why we rescue - because even if it's brief they deserve to feel love and the dignity of being surrounded by people who care.

WE ARE EXCITED TO LET EVERYONE KNOW THAT SADIE IS ADOPTED!!!!
Sadie is still looking for her forever home...
She'd love to be your best friend forever!

WE ARE EXCITED TO LET YOU KNOW THAT SADIE HAS BEEN ADOPTED! WE WILL POST PICTURES OF HER NEW FAMILY SOON!

How is it that our precious girl, Sadie, is not adopted???? She's absolutely adorable and gets along with everyone!!!! Won't you consider baby Sadie???

10 mos old Sadie is hanging out at Camp Bow Wow - Duluth Georgia while she waits for her forever home. Thank you Jessica Graham for giving Sadie a ride today and to Jeff Hahn for always being there for the gray dogs.
Sadie was surrendered by her family because she was too high energy for the small children in the house. She had been crated all day while the family was at work and then crated again at night. It's really no surprise this beautiful blue Weim mix girl is full of energy. Sadie is housebroken, loves to play ball, is okay with older children and good with other dogs (cats unknown). Sadie's new family will need to provide tons of structure, exercise, and her favorite belly rubs. Who is looking for a running partner? For an application, please visit our website: www.atlantalovesweims.org
