Happy New Year! Please note that in 2025, my availability is changing to part time while I pursue an exciting professional endeavor. Thank you for your continued support, patience and kindness while I navigate the next few months of balancing a new routine. I have opened a waitlist for April for new clients, however, if you are in need of services sooner I’d be happy to recommend any one of the fabulous trainers we are fortunate to have in our area. Friendship with a dog is all about loving the same things in life. Be it food, adventure, quality time, fresh air, freedom… Whatever it may be, when you love what your dog loves you will find a special harmony to enjoy. You have to be willing to get dirty, you have to know that sometimes you’ll be uncomfortable or inconvenienced or vulnerable, you’ll have to adjust your expectations and be flexible, all to love a dog. But the magic of watching them experience a full life is where growth and healing and personal evolution can happen! So thankful for a few days in the woods with these two reflecting on my favorite time of year, when change is everywhere. ❤️🐾

Very fun sharing our first FastCAT experience with my dad! He was Dream Weaver’s ‘catcher’, and let me tell ya, girly RAN. 6.9 seconds, 29.6 MPH! Beyond that though, she also didn’t snark at anyone, even while drivey, showed up to a brand new place and was asked to do a brand new thing, and she just did it without blinking. She is so versatile and mature and wonderful. Love doing life and trying new things with her. Thank you to my lovely friends for being so supportive and answering my 100 questions !!

Please note that as of September 1st my prices will be changing! If you are a current client, if we have worked together before or if you have already have a consultation scheduled, this change will not impact you! This fall will be 3 years since I became certified. In that time I’ve earned 36 CEU’s, learned and applied new information to my cases, strengthened my skills, did my best to support my clients even on days off and after work hours, shed some unnecessary habits and old beliefs, compiled important and useful resources to share and nailed down my process in a more organized fashion. I’ve also taken on new behavioral challenges that 2021 me couldn’t have touched, lol, and that experience allows me to help new pups! Anyway, hope you can understand! Much love to my community, my clients, and your dogs for being my greatest teachers.❤️🐾

My buddy Bowser! Bowser struggles with big feelings around other dogs. We’ve been chipping away at this for a while now, and this morning I saw him make lots of really tough, very smart choices. I enjoy working with his guardians for a lot of reasons, the primary one being that they are excellent at finding and celebrating small wins, even in stressful moments. Bowser no longer reacts to bikes, buses or people, and when he does react to dogs his recovery time is shorter, his reactions are smaller and he really tries his hardest to keep it together. We got surprised by dogs 3 different times this morning, and each time we all marveled at how well he bounced back. Don’t forget to look for small wins! They are there.

It’s our birthdays!! Today I am 30 and Murphy is 6. I am so thankful I got to spend most of my 20’s with this boy. We really have grown up together! He’s been there for me through every up and down, providing stable company I can depend on no matter what is going on around us. He makes me a better person, the least I can do in return is let him roll in p**p once in a while :) this is your reminder not to rush adolescence. It goes by quick, and one day you will turn around and admire your solid adult dog and see all of your early efforts have paid off. But we only get them for such a short time, be sure you’re not missing the forest for the trees. Love you Murph!! ❤️

A few weeks ago I spoke in my stories about the value of going back to the basics once in a while. Sylvie has been working hard in the last 9 months to stay calm around triggers and has made so much progress. Understandably, it was a little confusing when a couple of weeks ago she started to regress a bit into old habits. Instead of lingering in the negative feelings that can come with having a dog who struggles with reactivity, her guardians took the right steps to improve the situation: create more distance, concentrate on one goal at a time, lower criteria and set her up for success. Today we jumped back into our practice at the park, passing many dogs, bikes, people, cars etc., and Sylvie was so much more relaxed! Sometimes taking a break can make all the difference. So proud of this team! ❤️
