So very lucky that my pack are great with fostered dogs, but even we were surprised at the way the two youngest have chosen to 'parent' Basil.
Not only do they play and gently teach him manners, but they watch to keep him safe and cuddle him to sleep.

And so to sleep!
After a couple of wakeful nights, we are settling into a routine... of sorts.

Meet Basil, the 7 week old puppy who came very close to being put to sleep!
Due to double dapple breeding (not recognised by the Kennel Club as it can produce so many puppies with 'defects') Basil is almost completely blind and currently has reduced hearing... although this should improve as he grows.
Rescued by The RED Foundation, he is currently fostered here at Blind Dogs: Enabled whilst he learns some skills to allow him to lead a very normal doggie life. Basil will be available for adoption to the right 'forever' home.

He certainly is a character!
