In the meantime, here are some tips to help you find a borrower:

1) Always arrange at least one meeting prior to the proposed stay, this will allow your doggy to get to know the person they will be staying with. It would be a good idea if your doggy will be staying at this persons home, to also visit the home so they can get to know the environment.

2) Discuss any dietary/exercise requirements for your doggy, and if your borrower will be able to meet those requirements.

3) From a borrowers point of view, send your doggy’s owner photos/videos/updates throughout the day, not only will it give them peace of mind, but also cheer them up!

4) Leave a recommendation on this page if you feel your borrower has excelled!

Hi Everyone,

I have created this page to allow dog lovers in Herefordshire to look after, spend time with, keep company, give exercise to those dogs whose owners are unable to - due to work, holidays, illness etc etc.

If you are familiar with ‘Borrow My Doggy’ then you will know how this works, but please drop me a message if you are unsure and want more information.

I will be posting some tips and pointers later on but am really hoping this pages kicks off!

Please note that this page and the admins involved take no responsibility for anything that is arranged between dog owners and dog borrowers. This page is purely for promotion and helping dog lovers come together when needed.
