We celebrated “Gingmas” tonight with our girls. We want every day to be special for Ginger while we have her.

Tonight we celebrated “Gingmas” with some turkey dinner, doggy ice cream, and presents with a huge thanks to Jeffrey Alan for rushing ordering a bluey for Ginger.

She’s sleeping off her turkey coma as we speak 🥰

Everyone please keep our beautiful ginger in your thoughts. We are discovering liver damage and fluid in her abdomen. We are currently screening for cancer and evaluating the options that will be most comfortable for her.

Today is our special girl’s 9th birthday. We are so grateful that we have been able to have this long with our first dog together. She is stubborn, gorgeous, and spoiled as heck. Hopefully we can still have many more birthday with her!

Our last pupdate is on Annie Banannie! She has really integrated nicely into our house. She is 20lbs heavier than Ginger 😱 which means we can’t let them outside together since she helped Ginger tear her first CCL 🙈

She is our resident Velcro dog. She has to be by her mom’s side 24/7. She helps me work, clean, crochet, fold laundry and everything in between. She’s a dream to walk until she sees another dog. We are working on that.

Ironically she doesn’t often bark at the door like Ginger and Maya. But when she does bark she sounds more like a sea lion than she does a dog. So of all of our dogs she is the biggest goofus do**us and isn’t intimidating anyone.

Our next Pupdate is on Maya Mayor Mccheese! Maya has been doing super well and has actually gotten more snuggly since we brought Annie home. She recently went to to meet and and she has a blast!

Truth be told we weren’t sure how she would do because she is generally disinterested in other dogs. She’s not mean but she actively ignores them. She actually did great! She enjoyed sniffing butts and playing in the shallow pool. I’m pretty sure she thought she was the real star there too. And I’ll let her think that. She had fun introducing herself to random people and that was her form of fun — who am I to break it to her that no one knows who she is?

A big happy 7th birthday to Ginger! We’ve been pretty quiet lately as Ginger recovers from ACL repair surgery. The power of burgers and peanut butter pup cakes got her moving today! Back to recovery tomorrow though.
