Muscle of the Month
▪Serratus Ventralis▪️
This vital muscle is located in your dogs forelimb. It covers a large portion of your dogs shoulder, over the shoulder blade, and towards your dogs ribs. This muscle has an important role in stability and movement.
The Serratus Ventralis is a muscle in the forelimb, which covers a large area, over the shoulder blade, coming up into the neck, and down into the ribs.
Some of the functions of this muscle is to:
-Raises neck
-Role in Inspiration
-Support the truck
-Anti Gravity muscle
-During movement "assists" in braking
This muscle group is one of my clients favourite spots to be worked.
