For dogs who stay with us shorter term & for whom we are a "bridge" they become adoptable once medical needs are addressed.

Our last 2 intakes for awhile. With fosters on vacation and traveling for work, and with returns from fosters and adopters and with adoptions down overall.....we are now over capacity again.

Penny and Minnie came to us from Yuma when they landed at the shelter after their adopter passed away. Both had been adopted initially from HSOY and were sad and confused about being back. They are "friends" but not a bonded pair so we were able to squeeze them in. Minnie will be getting her dental on Tuesday so will be adoption ready sooner and then Penny in a couple of weeks. Both sweet little ladies!!

We will be doing adoption meet and greets at the PetSmart at Oracle and Wetmore (4374 N Oracle Rd) from 10:30 to 2:00 on Saturday 6/21. We have tons of cute dogs who will be in attendance (as well as some pretty cool people LOL)

A couple of adoptions to share including another foster upgrade!

Berna/Birdie had a couple of attempts that did not pan out for her and it is because she knew she was home all along. We are so happy for her and her family

Begonia came to us from Arizona Humane Society and is just full of s***k! She does have a heart murmur requiring medicat...

Begonia came to us from Arizona Humane Society and is just full of s***k! She does have a heart murmur requiring medication (lifelong) but is doing well currently. She loves to romp and play. She can be very sweet but also sometimes spicy in that she will nip or bite. She is bossy with other dogs so would need one that can "hold their own" or is more submissive and will need a strong handler who let's her know who is in charge.

The shelter aged Begonia around 8 and she is an 11-12 lb little potato. She is leash trained and housebroken with regular opportunities to get out and is also good in a crate. She is good with kids but can be a rough in her play so might be best with school age and up.
