Cale is our 6 year old Great Pryenees that we are seeing for his hip dysplasia. Did you know hip dysplasia isn’t just a problem for older dogs? It can affect pups of all ages and breeds, causing discomfort and mobility issues. Hip dysplasia is a condition where the hip joint doesn’t develop properly, leading to painful arthritis and reduced mobility over time.

Weave poles are such a dynamic workout that 🎯 targets multiple parts of the body!
The act of weaving through and around each pole elongates and stretches the back muscles. This is great for dogs with inflammation ♨️ or tightness in any part of their spine.
In the movement of the alternating turns, weight is shifted from each leg at different intervals. Ideal for dogs post surgery or suffering from muscle atrophy.

👣 Rock Walk 👣
The rock walk has been one of our favorite additions to rehab programs like Ash’s.
Ash had an accident as a puppy 🥺 that resulted in a fracture of his femor. Due to this, he spent a lot of his growing months in an external fixator…
Ash now has spent months after recovery not using his right hind leg and has in turn lost a lot of muscle mass. We are working on encouraging individual strides🚶♂️of his back legs in order to build up those muscles.
Using a boot allows for Ash to gain traction with his weaker limb when walking and to even out the lengths of his hind legs.
When we first started working with Ash he completely refused to use his back right leg and now with help from rock walks he is encouraged to take big boy steps 🧗
Walking on an uneven surface like rocks, in a controlled manor, also encourages Ash to use the muscles of his core to stabilize 🏄 his entire body.
Muscle building 💪🏽takes time and we still have a long way to go but the progress we have made so far gives us hope! 💙

Junior is the athlete of all athletes 🏋️ Well versed in MANY forms of agility, he is one to watch! 👀
Just like with any high performance athlete there comes high performance injuries.🩼 Junior has had some minor setbacks this last year involving his neck and back. With the help of his amazing doctors 👩🏻⚕️ and his new workout trainer @iiblue we hope to get him back up to speed! (literally 😉)
Our main focus for Junior is to strengthen his core! By increasing his core stability 🏄🏽♂️ and decreasing inflammation ♨️ in his problem areas, we are giving his body a strong foundation 🏠 of which he can work from!
