It all began with an adoption
As you may or may not have already noticed, our shop is centered around our three dogs. So, if it wasn't for Nicole and our three lovely pups, this store would not have come about. We named our shop "Tutu Pets Design" because Tutu is very special to us as she's our first pet as a couple. Although we both had pets at some point in our lives but our parents were largel
y responsible for looking after them (like most children). Tutu was truly the first pet we have ever had. We raised her like our baby. Our three dogs are all mutts and there are some people in Taiwan who are scared of mutts (we call them "mixed" in Taiwan) because most stray dogs are mutts and there are some stray dogs that go after bypassers, hence the fear. This is why we wanted to accessorise our dogs so people are not so afraid of them when we take them out walks. Tutu was one of the seven abandoned puppies at an animal clinic. Nicole and I just got married and we were looking to adopt a dog. When we visited the clinic, Tutu had not been adopted. She was not in high demand because we were told that she was deemed ugly. Her forehead had a bite-mark from her siblings and dermatitis had cause major hair loss on her tail. But we decided to adopt her anyway, because if nobody adopted her, she would either become a stray or sent to dog shelter (and will be put down after 12 days if no one adopts her). That was in August of 2011 and the rest is history. We rescued Sing and A-Fei the following year. I found them in a deserted warehouse by rice fields. Initially, we did not intend to bring them home because we were already a handful with Tutu. I was hoping some one would eventually pick them up like their three other siblings. We changed our minds on the second day after we discovered one of the puppies had fallen into a ditch after being hit by a scooter. She was hurt pretty bad and needed immediate medical attention. At that point in time, she had no help but us and this was how Sing ended up with us. As for A-Fei, he's pretty lucky to have Sing. We decided to bring him home with Sing because we did not want to leave A-Fei out there all by himself. These are the stories of our family. Hope you enjoyed it. p.s. I captured a video of Sing and A-Fei the day before she had the accident. http://goo.gl/p1wnoq
