CC's babies finally made a debut! She had triplets again, unfortunately the 3rd one was presented badly. A trip to After hours vet- Beard Navasota Veterinary Hospital, was able to pull him, but he was DOA 🥺 thankful a C-section was not necessary, and have 2 beautiful baby does. Thank you Terry and Susie for helping!

Goats are adorable! And there is nothing cuter than a bouncing baby💕but raising goats is not for the faint of heart. No ones likes to talk about the struggles, the losses, sleepless nights in the barn either on baby watch or assisting new or sick babies/does. We've had a lot of the above this year, emergency c-section, twisted twins, kid with a liver shunt, 3 losses, LOTS of sleepless nights, and 2 gorgeous healthy doelings🥰 but it is worth it

South Texas is prepping for a blast of artic air! A few things to consider:

*Please do not put coats on your goats if they have their own! It will compress their cashmere and prevent them from fluffing it to keep warm.
*Add extra bedding
*Give hay (it increases body temp by getting the rumen going)
*Provide a wind block (we are tarping the barn)
*Add a heat light. If you add a source of heat, be sure to have it high enough so they won't burn themselves- they will literally scorch their hair!
*Dont forget to set water aside, inside your house to provide them with water (theirs will freeze)

Well.... Foxie surprised us last night with 2 teeny tiny babies! She did not show any signs of pregnancy, and was super super sick in February, so we figured if she was expecting, she would have aborted. Apparently God had other plans🙏
Just barely over a pound 💕 they are so tiny and not out of the woods, prayers appreciated

Sorry if i have been quiet or late responding to anyone. We've been a little crazy busy , and to add to it, let me introduce you to Dancing Heart Ranch Coca-Cola "Cola". A friend and mentor had several does with difficult births. This little lady got stuck, and her shoulders were injured trying to get her out. Mom was so traumatized and injured she rejected her, so Susie Ann Lybarger has her hands full with the other moms, and we both want to give her the best chance at a full recovery so... now we have a house goat who dictates the schedule! Faru is being his typical loving self, and Tripp is well... SO EXCITED we have a goat IN THA HOUSE! LOL
