The Happy Hound Story

As a true advocate for pet adoption, my own 2 rescue dogs are my world, their comfort and well being are top priority. However, one of my rescues, Jack, was in extreme dire straits when I adopted him in 2013. He was extremely emaciated, close to renal failure and likely physically abused before ending up at the local dog pound. You would never know it by looking at him today. He has really developed into one handsome boy, but Jack’s past struggles still haunt him today. He is a very anxious and nervous dog. I knew that boarding a dog like him, in a kennel type of environment, would completely stress him out and be detrimental to his well being. Knowing there are many pets out there, just like Jack, is how I came to the realization that there is a demand for pet care that allows pets to remain in the comfort and security of their own homes. I started Happy Hound Dog Walking and Pet Care in 2016 with the hopes of giving pet owners the peace of mind that their pets can be well cared for in a stress free environment. Happy Hound is the perfect alternative to doggy daycare or kenneling. We are there for your pets when you can’t be.
