This is how children get hurt by dogs. Always supervise or separate.

Let's talk about this photo. It's cute, except it's not. I see a dog who cannot get up without telling the child to get off. How do you think a dog is going to do that?

The 7 Golden Toddler Dog Rules:
#1: If a dog walks away from you, you DO NOT FOLLOW.
#2: Always leave room for the dog to walk away from you.
---that right there is 90+% of dog bites eliminated---
#3: We do not climb on the dog.
#4: We do not grab or pull on the dog.
#5: We do not hit or throw anything at the dog.
#6: We do not touch the dog's food.
#7: We do not go into the dog's kennel.

I promise these are not overly difficult concepts for littles, nor will they rob a kid of their bond with the family dog. It will deepen that bond, while keeping everyone safe.

"Oh, it looks like Moose is walking away from you. She is saying she wants a break. Let's play with this instead!"

"It's Moose's dinner time! Let's give her space to enjoy her yummies."

"That is Moose's room(kennel) and only she is allowed to go in there."

"If Moose wanted a break, could she walk away from you right now? No she really couldn't. Let's move away from the play house. You can keep playing but now she can leave when she wants a break."

In conclusion, ***parent your child or your dog will do it for you, and you will not like how they do it.***

Another small dog got neutered and vaccinated for rabies at the same time. A one year old pup can no longer use his rear legs and has been diagnosed with GME within the week. YES it was the rabies vaccine made worse by another layer of problems that go hand in hand with small dogs and Anesthesia. Often labelled Meningioencephalitis of Unknown Origin.......... Ahhhhh, not even close. Who knows how many tests were done to rule out an infections cause before the conclulsion will be given. Will a report be done? I've sent the instructions and hope that they will.

Dr Josie Beung Shared this message one of her clients sent to her. She was advocating for the pet that she was treating. This is unfortunately the "take a number" protocol that exists today and knowledgeable pet owners are questioning - for good reason.

This was a yorkie, a breed I am very familiar with and I just want to scream!!! Who is advocating for these dogs? I've relayed the TCVM advoce (Ask Dr. Steve), Adaptogens .... and to get some integrative help. Hopefully they started an anti-imflammatory already.

So many owners mistake the absence of rules, structure, and accountability as a gift of freedom. What they fail to realize is that the “gift” they think they’re giving is actually a curse of lifetime micromanagement and limitations.

The irony is that the dogs who have the skills and reliability which come from the “soul crushing” rules, structure, and accountability are the dogs who live the biggest, happiest, most included, and truly freedom-filled lives.

Interesting that. 🙂

Synthetic aromas are largely made up of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), which float through the air, are inhaled, and then enter the bloodstream. These highly popular aromatic liquids are actually chemicals, including lactones, benzene and aldehydes, all of which have been linked to birth defects, central nervous system disorders, neurological disorders, and/or allergic reactions, including eye, skin and respiratory symptoms.

🐾 Our animals often spend their days stuck inside our homes, unable to get away from these airborne pollutants; if your goal is to remove damaging chemicals from your family’s living environment, the first place to start is by unplugging plug-ins.

Training at feeding time… the first couple of days I put their bowl on their place today I am setting their bowl 2 feet in front of them and releasing them with their release word which is “free”. I supervise to make sure they go to and stay at their own food bowl because the grass is always greener in the other bowl.

Can you teach an old dog new tricks? Yes! This 4 year old field lab who bolts, wanders, sniffer and runner is doing so well learning to recall. This is her first session. Her owner is doing great learning the how to’s.

"Well, it finally happened. After five years, the CoyoteVest was finally put to the test last night. Newman went out for his before bed potty outing when all the sudden a raccoon got him. The vest totally did its job! This photo doesn’t show the optional LED flashing lights attached but they were flashing last night. He’s OK. The sound of the attack is tough to forget. I highly recommend this vest. Comes in all sizes and for cats as well." - Lindsey F., WA

Long nails create potential issues for animals — a splayed foot, reduced traction, deformed feet, and even injured tendons over time. When long nails hit the ground, it puts force on the foot and leg structure. This force can potentially lead to arthritis and ongoing pain.
Regular nail trims - every 4-6 weeks are highly recommended 🐱🐶
