Loving Paws Animal Center, Inc. - LPAC LPAC is dedicated to “at-risk” homeless felines. Please spay & neuter! www.petfriendlyplate.org Welcome to LPAC. I have rescued animals since 2002.

My name is Teresa Fee; Founder and Executive Director of Loving Paws Animal Center - LPAC. I have always loved animals since young, especially, those who are ill, injured, special needs (CH) and/or of senior age.

LPAC is a No-Kill 501(c)3 Nonprofit Animal Rescue Group located in Battle Ground, Indiana dedicated to homeless at-risk feral/stray kitties that are sick, injured, special needs and/or

motherless kittens. We take pride in transforming kitties of all ages that have suffered unnecessary neglect.

At LPAC, our focus is to provide top-notch medical attention & rehabilitation in a loving, respectful and attentive family environment. We offer both temporary & lifelong programs to kitties in need, as space is available. LPAC proudly offers TNR services to areas lacking assistance. TNR services are only offered when funds are available. Trap Neuter Return is the most humane choice to help decrease the overpopulation of unwanted litters. TNR kitties that are happier & best suited in their outside elements, are always released back to their colony/property within 72 hours of their spay/neuter surgery; unless, further recovery time is needed. We do not recommend relocation of feral cats, unless they are in an unsafe environment (relocation will be determined at time of assessment). All colonies require a dedicated caretaker. Spaying and neutering your family pets is a great way to help reduce the overpopulation of animals. Not only will it help with behaviors in cats & dogs, as well as their need to mark their territory; they live happier, healthier lives. Altered animals are less likely to contract deadly, contagious diseases too. Therefore, the spread of these diseases decreases. Approximately, 2.7 million animals are euthanized a year. Spayed/Neutered animals will help decrease the number of animals that are killed. It costs more to care for a litter of kittens or puppies, than it would to have them fixed. One female dog and her offspring can produce 67,000 puppies in a 6 year period. While a cat and her offspring can produce a large amount of 370,000 in seven years. These numbers are outrageous and growing. It's time to help make a difference in the lives of our family pets and our community of homeless furry friends.

Avian Influenza A and cats!

Avian Influenza A and cats!

Avian influenza A (H5N1) can infect more than avian species. Cats can contract the virus, and unfortunately, it can be fatal for them. That is why the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) suggests cat owners refrain from feeding cats any dairy products or colostrum that has not first been pasteurized or thoroughly cooked to kill the virus. Cat owners should also avoid feeding raw meat to their cats.

To read more about protecting your cat from H5N1 check out the AVMA article at: https://www.avma.org/resources-tools/animal-health-and-welfare/animal-health/avian-influenza/avian-influenza-h5n1-cats

Phelix update ❤️

He is the sweetest, most purrfect boy!

He saw Dr D and the techs today. He’s going to be with us for awhile, so that we can nurse him back to good health, get some much needed weight on his skeleton body & heal his terrible rearend/legs/heels inflammation/infection.

Today he had a thorough exam & heres what we know:
*mouth/teeth look okay
*no ear infections
*heart/lungs sounded good
*fiv/felv/heartworm negative
*labs showed anemia, inflammation & dehydration
* body score is 1/9
*they shaved his rearend & applied medicated ointment
*had his nails trimmed
*received a convenia injection
*received subq fluids
*will continue ointment
*will do 5 days of panecur
*will apply revolution tonight

Phelix weighs 4.6 lbs and the first goal is to slowly get him up to 8lbs. His ideal weight is 10 lbs. He is horribly emaciated.

Update on the new kitty.

He is very sweet and terribly emaciated 😭 He is nothing but bone under that fluff. He is completely matted with dirt, leaves, p**p & urine on his backend/tail. His eyes are sunken in, indicating dehydration. He IS microchipped and I’ll be honest, I’m not thrilled. I reported him as found and their number is disconnected. The microchip company emailed a found report, but unsure if it’s an active email. The subscription for his profile hasn’t been updated since 2014, making him at least 10-11 years old (possibly older). No other info on the owners was provided at this time. He was either uncared for & owner possibly died or he was neglected & dumped. Whatever the case is, this senior boy is in horrible condition. He will be going to the vet tomorrow. Keep him in your thoughts, as he is going to need some TLC.

Kitty has been trapped. He smells like death 😭 and his face feels like a skeleton, so I imagine his body is very emaciated. He is confused, but I can tell he’s so grateful & knows he’s going to get all the help he needs. He talked to me, purred and gave me that look that breaks my heart. He may be an older kitty and I would be shocked if he’s claimed by an owner. Definitely, reminds me of a dumped cat. Of course I hope that’s not the case! My chip scanner is charging, so I’ll scan him here shortly.

Update: Kennel has been ordered. Thank you very much for the donations to help make this possible. Should arrive on the 17th, which will give us some time to get the area ready.

Here is the kennel we’d like to get for Bear. The initial one I added to our chewy wishlist, quickly sold out. We have received $230 so far to put towards this purchase. If you can donate any amount, we hope to get it ordered before this one is out of stock too.

Thank you in advance!

This is Bear 🐕 He is 13.5 yrs old & the hoarding house dog. We also provide for him, to be sure he doesn’t go without. Bear saw the vet last year in June, received all his vaccines, labs & Heartworm negative, preventatives, steroids, etc. We keep him on Bravecto every 3 months. Bear has arthritis and limited vision, which makes him pace a lot. I am not liking the collapsable crate he is in, when they are gone, during bad weather, too hot/too cold outside, and throughout the night. We are going to buy a walk-in kennel to set up for him. He needs space to move around and deserves to have comfort while kenneled. I told the owners they need to get the back room cleared out, so I can come in to clean it my way & sanitize the area before setting him up in a larger kennel. We are also going to secure the deck railing, so that he can have more space to roam, without being on the cable all the time.

Whether a dog or cat, I do not like small cages and I’m tired of seeing him in a cage he can’t move around in much at all.

If you would like to help us purchase a walk-in dog kennel and/or deck safety netting, we are hoping to spend no more than $350 total.

Thank you in advance ❤️ 🐕

My sister & I went to the hoarding house to spend time with the kitties today ❤️ We brought more dry kibble, litter & gave them wet food. Here are a few cuties that are next on our list to remove. Some are partially blind, fully blind and/or have calicivirus (ulcers in the mouth) & dental issues. All cats on this property are considered contagious from exposure to or infected with mycoplasma & calicivirus.

I was contacted about this cat last night. Was told she/he is not recognized by residence on the road he’s been spotted. We have done TNR and removed both injured/sick adults & kittens from this particular area and have never seen this kitty. This kitty appears to not be feeling well, has some matted fur, especially the tail caked with p**p/urine, had possibly been drooling according to the neck area, and she/he smells awful. I will be heading out shortly to see if I can get this cat contained and to the vet.

This is another example, as to why it’s important for us to have funds available. Unfortunately, we do not, but I’m not going to let this kitty suffer. We feel a sense of responsibility for this area, as we have helped every dumped and feral cat on this road. This kitty deserves the same love & medical attention.

Please consider calling in a direct to vet donation on our acct. We are struggling, but this cats life matters!!

The 5 hoarding kitties saw the vet today ❤️
Here’s what we know and/or suspect of each one.

Purrina still has nasal discharge/sneezing & that nasally noise. She is back on doxycycline for 10 days. The concern of her nasal passages being narrow, her nose more flat and has an odd crookedness… are all congenital defects. This may end up requiring the nostrils enlargement surgery afte all. She will have a follow up after this next round of Doxy.

Tremer is deaf, head tilt (vestibular disease), has an ocular congenital defect, but appears healthy otherwise.

Junoh has an ocular congenital defect - where his eye is abnormally small (Microphthalmia) but also a crinkled appearance as though it’s severely ulcerated (but it’s not).

Graedin has an ocular defect (Microphthalmia). Otherwise appears healthy.

Wonkey (white with black), is neurologically challenged. If you watch him in the video, he does a lot of back movement with his head & circles. He is hard of hearing and has both delayed visual response & no response from the sides or above.

She noted that they all have oddly shaped skulls on various levels. All their hearts/lungs sounded good. No ear infections or ear polyps seen during their exams. All 5 are FIV/FeLV & heart worm negative (2 were tested previously) and 3 were tested today.

Please consider contributing to help us pay down our vet bill. Thank you in advance.

Update: she survived & is recovering.
Trigger warning! Disturbing, heart-wrenching last 3 photos.

This rescue are friends of ours and I cannot imagine the heartbreak & anger they are feeling right now.

STOP hurting our beautiful, innocent animals. Just stop it already. This cat didn’t deserve to be harmed and traumatized. I hope she makes it.

Rhylinn has consistently let us know, she’s not a big fan of the vet clinic. But she still did a great job.

Rhylinn is all healed from her polyp removal surgery. She sounds & looks good. She was able to finally have her vaccines and received a clean bill of health. She is now ready for adoption ❤️ & will be looking for a very special 🏡

Lorcan, one of our sanctuary cats, didn’t get as good of news. Sadly, we had a feeling. His polyp is back and will need a different procedure to remove it 😭

Our Amazon wishlist has been updated!

We have a few items marked priority.
World’s Best litter is what we use and a lot of it.

We also added Cats Pride to the list, so we are using less of our expensive litter at the hoarding house. They go through a ton, having over 50 cats that are in & out of the house. Currently have 6 cat boxes there. We could use your help stocking up.
We are also out of both our turbo ball replacement scratch pads and the rectangular scratch pads. They are changed out as cats are recovering from illnesses and/or tore up.
Dry kibble is a never ending need we go through a bag a day at the hoarding house
We are currently okay with our rescues stock.
Friskies wet food is slways needed. We go through 16 cans a day at the rescue.

Thank you!

Long video…… Today is a good day for a video expressing our reality, frustrations & fears!

03/03/2025

Quick vent!

Listen! I will not apologize for hitting nerves of anyone, that believes it’s okay to use innocent animals as a tool in scamming people out of money.
I will not support the lies that ultimately affect the lives of animals, period! The animal world is absolutely corrupt and that is due to not just irresponsible pet owners, but organizations that play on the heartstrings of animal lovers like me & you!
In my opinion, you are a victim of the scams you’ve been conned into thinking are doing good in the world for animals. Protect your heart, money & your family pets, or those you care for outside or support through your unmatched generosity.

All I want is for ALL of you that truly and deeply care for animals, no matter if they are domestic, wildlife, aquatic, etc., to do your research before supporting a cause. Your generosity should always be to make a difference in the overall well-being of animals lives and/or the growth of programs/facilities that add positive changes & loving safe-havens. You should never have to feel as though you’re questioning your life-changing gift(s).

Because we are a “small” rescue, we are over-shadowed by the big shelters and most certainly, the mass manipulators out there taking the spotlight. We are a small rescue, doing big work, yet so often pushed to the sidelines. We are a “cat” rescue, trying to advocate the importance of caring about the existence of felines. But dogs will always get front row seats, while cats are pushed to the back of the class. *For the record, we LOVE dogs and ALL animals!! They should be equally important in the world.

I have been in deep thought about the position we continue being in. It’s a scary position and one I am sick & tired of being in. Not for us humans, although, it takes a massive toll on us, but for the cats. We are NOT okay! LPAC is not doing well. It’s been no secret. Perhaps, small rescues have to try much harder to stay afloat. We can’t compete with the big orgs or even the lie selling, manipulative grifters. Unless we can gain some traction in this animal broken world & find a new way to reach our goals, both small & big, we will have to get more serious on what the near future looks like for LPAC.

Just know, I am not taken down easily, because without Loving Paws, it would be a devastating loss to the cats that need us.

Watch for upcoming posts, as we continue our fight of existence, life-saving success and immediate plans/goals to reach the sanctuary reality and boot this unsuccessful “foster-based” level we’re stuck at.

If anything…. for them👇

Our Story

Welcome to LPAC, a NO-Kill, 501(c)3 nonprofit organization located in Battle Ground, IN. My name is Teresa Fee; I am the Founder, ED & President of Loving Paws Animal Center, Inc. I have rescued animals for 16+ years in Indiana, Florida, North Carolina, Kentucky, Ohio, and on August 19th 2018 I picked up 4 senior feral boys from UPAWS in Michigan. We are so sad that Junior Bug, Baby & McGuyver have passed and their brother Bootsie is recovering from a stroke. I have always loved animals since young; especially, feral cats, those that are ill, pregnant/nursing, injured, and/or of senior age.

At LPAC, our focus is to help provide medical attention & rehabilitation in a loving, respectful and attentive family environment. We offer both temporary & lifelong programs to homeless kitties in need. This includes stray/feral & confiscations from hoarding situations.

Our goal is to “change the world for animals in need!” With dedication, understanding, patience and a whole lot of love; feral cats of all ages can be transformed. I have immense respect and love for feral kitties. They truly are incredible creatures that deserve just as much as cuddly, hand/house-raised kitties. Often times, feral cats require a long process to build trust. Although, not all become adoptable pets; they still have formed bonds they otherwise wouldn’t have had if it wasn’t for the passion and compassion we have for them. We created our lifelong program, not only for the ill and seniors; but to offer a forever place to call home with a family that understands feral/under-socialized kitties. We work hard to rehabilitate & socialize kitties, so that they can live comfortably indoors & even those that may remain outside. Here at LPAC, we strongly believe and participate in TNR, and provide adequate housing for those that continue living in the outdoor elements. Those that remain outside still receive human contact, all necessities the indoor kitties get, and medical attention as needed. Every furry face is spayed/neutered, receives FVRCP & rabies vaccines, as well as flea treatments, and de-wormed. Occasionally, we receive kitties that are FIV/FeLV tested, when recommended by our veterinarians. Many kitties adopted from LPAC are ear-tipped, because they were deemed non-adoptable at time of spay/neuter. We fight for every kitty that joins Loving Paws and we do not put limits on the medical care they need & deserve.

We do not offer the “Barn Program” that most other shelters/rescues have. We are the barn program for feral kitties and/or cats that do not meet adoption requirements. The best interests of all furry face residence in our care is a top priority. Their comfort matters and we make sure they are placed in either a home with a new family and/or our rescue home with LPAC’s family. No matter their lifetime of needs; they will receive it with your family or ours.
