Our darling Charlee was adopted yesterday after being in our care for over a year! If you remember her story, we adopted her out quite a few years ago to a disabled veteran. Sadly, he passed away and Charlee came back into our care. We had made a promise to find her a new happily ever after. Congratulations to our Charlee! ❤️

Applications are on our website under the “Adoption Process” tab.

Hi, it's me, Tuck. Tuck is short for Tuck-N-Roll which is what brought me to GBAR. When I was just a tiny tot I either fell out of an engine compartment or was tossed out of a car. A nice lady found me alongside the highway and got me a spot in this rescue. GBAR knew I needed kitten friends so they paired me up with some other kittens that were found by a firehouse. I made fast friends with a little dude named Ladder. Ladder got really sick one day and the ladies rushed him to see the doctor. He never came back and the ladies were crying and told me he was suffering and they had to send him to this place called the Rainbow Bridge. I was sad, too, but I was lucky I wasn't alone and still had kitten friends. Now I am 6 months old and all my friends are adopted. The GBAR ladies tried really hard to adopt me out with a friend, but it didn't work out that way. They told me that it is so hard to find homes for cats and kittens and they did not want to deny anyone a real home. They told me I could stay here as long as I needed and they would always love me. Still, I am lonely when everyone goes home. I want to go home, too. Everyone is spoiling me. They even take me for stroller rides around the clinic. I know I look like I am not happy- I really am- it's just that the stroller is PINK. Despite that atrocious color, when they take me out of the stroller I hop back in hoping to take another spin. I am very sweet, will chirp to communicate with you, I've got all my vaccines and even went through a neuter surgery. I try really hard not to recall that day, but if it gets me a home it's a small price to pay. The ladies say they saved the best for last - ME! They said whomever adopts me will have to be extra special, too. They must promise to love me forever and make sure I see my doctor to keep my vaccines up to date so I remain the happy, healthy guy I am. If you think you might be the lucky one who would be a fit, please fill out an adoption application at www.greenbayanimalrescue.weebly.com
Hope to meet you soon. Love, Tuck
p.s. maybe if you adopt me you could spring for a BLUE stroller??

ADOPTION PENDING

This boy needs a home! Tyson is a young adult. He’s neutered, vaccinated, blood tested negative, and microchipped. Tyson is talkative and would do great in an active home. Dogs and other cats do not seem to bother him. No young children though, as he does get a little overstimulated during playtime. His adoption fee is $50.

Meet Cheesecurd; an 8 year old female spayed DSH who is searching for a new home before the holidays through no fault of her own. She gets along with everybody; dogs, other cats and even kids…..but would also be content getting all of the love and snuggles as Queen of her castle! If you would like to meet her; please send us a private message and we will connect you with her caretaker.

Today is Giving Tuesday! If you’re able to donate, please choose an organization that supports your cause. Another idea would be to give a pet waiting in rescue a home of its own. The picture is of our kittens, Kevin and Cearra, who would like a home together. They will be available soon.

Enough with the doodling! It has to end!

12:34 PM Update: We were too late. They were too far gone. They had a life they didn't ask for and suffered at the hands of greed. We will never know the truth. All we can do is try to find comfort that our hearts were with them, they did not die alone and we tried. I'm sorry to report that all 5 of these precious souls have crossed the rainbow bridge. The 5th baby took its final breath as our foster arrived at the veterinarians office.

12:21 PM Update: Our foster has arrived. One more has passed. The other is only breathing every 30+ seconds. They are on the way to the vet - it is not a hopeful situation at all.

The puppy fits in the fosters hand - eyes still have the baby blue coloring - there's no way they are even close to 5 weeks old.

We are devastated - we have an amazing group of volunteers that have stepped up - over and beyond to give these pups a chance.

We will update further when we can

11:46 AM Update:
We are in route to get the babies. Unfortunately 1 more has passed. The remaining 2 seem to be in very, very poor condition. Our foster team is going to get them to the vet the second we get them into our possession. It looks very grim.

——

Last night we received an urgent plea.

Pardon the language - but we are beyond inferiorated! Unfortunately, this is happening everywhere.

A lady wanted a puppy. She found a listing for "Rotadoodle" pups. This GREEDER - purposely bred a Rottweiler and Poodle.

The lady arrived - pups were in poor condition. How poor? So poor that she reached out to a colleague - who reached out to a foster of ours. This lady was so taken back by the horrible health of this litter. Lethargic - flea ridden.

She asked to see the mother. The GREEDER relayed that the mother had been killed by a car. We are not sure when - she was told the pups were 5 weeks old. This GREEDER was aware that the pups were weak, flea ridden and malnourished. How could they not know?

The GREEDER refused to let the pups go without money being provided. Another of our fosters offered cash to get these babies the help they need.

The lady took all 5 pups. The pup she desired to keep was rushed to the ER. The pup was found to be SEVERLY anemic and dehydrated. Pup spent the night at the ER - only for the call to come through this morning that he was too far gone, seized and passed away despite emergent intervention and supportive measures. This news came in after this poor lady woke to another of the pups dead.

We are working to get these babies into our care. There are 3 remaining. We have a big job ahead of us with constant supportive care which will include hydration and nutritional support. The ER vet stated that the pups are NOT the age that was stated, but younger.

The pups have docked tails - we assume it was a 'home job' since this moron refused to open their pocketbook to help these suffering babies.

Our emergency funds are depleted - our hearts are constantly broken - but our determination and network is strong.

We will do our best to save the lives of the remaining pups - but we have a lot of work to do. We cannot afford emergent care, but we have the resources to provide the supportive measures they are in desperate need of.

There will be a report filed against this as***le! Let's pray our local agencies take this seriously. We need to make an outcry in situations like this - it can not be swept under the rug! GREEDY BASTARDS mistreating animals to put a buck in their pockets!

Animal rescue is in a terrible place. Adoption rates are low. Foster homes are limited and those who are dedicated, are burned out. Donations are low - everyone is struggling. The low man on the totem pole are these helpless creatures who did not ask to be born.

This as***le has other animals - we can't imagine their condition.

Please consider donating - please consider attending our 5th Annual Bowling Fundraiser Saturday, please consider ordering from our Amazon list to support these babies.

We are going to give them a chance-we are going to give them love-we are going to do our best to get this as***le investigated.

ADOPTED! ❤️
Lucy is ready to find her forever home. This gorgeous girl was released from a puppy mill and will be 8 in December, and is a petite girl at 8 pounds. Lucy would benefit greatly by having another dog in the house, or an owner who is commited to building her confidence and teaching her how life should be lived. She has been spayed; received vaccines and is on preventatives. Lucy lost her remaining teeth, but still prefers kibble to eat- no special diet required. Her greatest joy is exploring the outdoors, she even gets the zoomies when the sun is shining! If you have room in your heart, and love and patience to spare, Lucy would love to meet you. Applications can be found on our web site; greenbayanimalrescue.weebly.com. Lucy’s adoption fee is $300. Please help us find this little lady her forever home!
