This evening we would like you to meet Inky, Blot & Squid. These little boys were found hiding in a pole building with no mom around. Thankfully, they were found by a kind person who made sure they found safety with GBAR. The boys are getting healthy in their foster home and will have their vetting done in the near future. They will then be looking for a loving, indoor, forever home. Watch for future updates!!

Next up in our intros is little Cole. We haven't shared much about him because we honestly didn't know if he would survive. Cole was found alone in a rural area all hunched up in the cold and very alone. Cole was brought to our vet's office with a very low body temp and dehydrated, among other issues. His first week in foster care he spent his days at our vet getting fluids, tests and being observed. Cole was laden with internal parasites, one that we had never heard of, and also had significant GI issues. After great medical care from our vet team and lots of love from his foster, Cole is finally getting better. He is even scheduled for his neuter surgery mid January! As long as he stays on this path going forward, he should be available for adoption later in January. Cole is a true survivor. Stay tuned for more updates on this special little guy. ❤️

We'll be highlighting our soon to be ready for adoption kids with the hopes that after the hustle and the bustle of the holidays, someone will be ready to add a furry family member to their home. Up first is Petey! This little dude is all love and cuteness. Petey was in an outdoor colony and was going to be a TNR kitty. However, Petey's bloodwork came back positive for FIV. A cat with FIV can lead a very full life in an indoor home. Petey could be an only cat, live with other FIV cats, or be integrated with other cats as long as there is no fighting (FIV is spread through a deep bite). We recommend all cats receive yearly wellness checks, but it is even more important for an FIV cat as their immune system does not work as well due to the FIV. Petey turned 1 yr old this month and is looking for a family to love.

An update from Maple's foster family- first as we know everyone has been concerned, Richard, the cat, has not been found. The neighbors have been watching, humane traps have been set and the family is returning to the site of the fire on a regular basis to search. Their home is a total loss and they do plan to rebuild.
Despite all the heartbreak, the dogs and Tony are adjusting and are healthy. Maple's foster parents are adjusting to their new, but temporary, normal. They want to let all of you know how grateful they are for the generosity of the GBAR family and complete strangers who have helped them. Whether it was financially, sharing their story or saying a prayer for their family it has meant so very much. They also want to share current pictures of their fur kids so you can see how well they are doing after such a traumatic experience.
Maple herself is continuing to heal. She has had a health setback but has been getting the best vet care. Understandably, with the upheaval of her foster's lives, Maple will be adopted out to a loving family. When she is ready, we will share her story and what she wishes for in a home.
Thank you, GBAR family, for all you do for the animals and the humans who love them.

ADOPTED!! ❤️

It takes a special person to open their home to a senior pet and we are hoping that Romeo will find his and be settled in before the holidays! This tiny little guy weighs just 4 pounds and was surrendered due to his owner passing away. With old age comes some challenges; he has limited vision and hearing but overall is in good health for his age. He would love nothing more than to find that special someone to snuggle and a warm bed to curl up in. Romeo is microchipped, UTD on vaccines and will come with a supply of the medicine he takes for his heart murmur. He absolutely deserves a home for the holidays- help us make his Christmas wish come true! If you are interested in being considered and would like to meet him- applications can be found on our web site: greenbayanimalrescue.weebly.com

(P. S. After x-rays and bloodwork, Romeo’s health report was much better than we expected. His blood work was normal, and although he does have an enlarged heart and is on heart medication, his heart test bloodwork showed normal results. Therefore, we feel he has some life left and would like to see him in a permanent home.)

Some people have hearts so big that even while dealing with their own overwhelming loss, they reach out to help others who are suffering a loss, too.
A few days ago we shared our tiny warrior, Tess's story. Tess was saved from a life of neglect and lived 5 wonderful years with her adopter, Renee. Tess was a star on Tik Tok and her passing has generated a large amount of financial donations in her memory to GBAR. We thank each and every person who has donated and want you to meet the little soul who has benefited from your generosity and Renee's big heart.
GBAR was contacted by a small shelter that took in a 16 yr old little mixed breed dog named Romeo. Romeo's owner had passed away and the family tried to keep him, but fell on their own hard times. A shelter is no place for a super senior and when asked to take him, GBAR said yes. We were able to say yes because of the donations made by Tess's followers and Renee's willingness to foster the little man.
Romeo arrived yesterday and we know he is a hospice case. Little Romeo is blind, and appears to have significant heart issues. GBAR and Renee will make sure he remains comfortable and will let him cross the bridge with dignity when he tells us it's time.
Renee and Romeo, both dealing with their losses, are helping each other. We know Romeo will have Renee by his side when he crosses the bridge to his owner. Until that time, he will be surrounded by her love. Welcome to the GBAR family, Romeo.

As the sun sets on Thanksgiving 2025, we want to take a moment to thank all those who support us and the animals in our care. We are grateful for so many and hope we don't leave anyone out-
-Parkside Animal Care Center for the outstanding medical care given to all and the space to house our cats in comfort
-Our volunteers who care for the animals daily including holidays and bad weather days and who fundraise to make sure the animals have all their needs met
-Our supporters who donate funds and supplies, share our posts and keep us moving forward
-Our adopters for providing loving homes for the animals we have cared for. Thank you for showing them the good life and making them part of your family
-the animals who have started their next chapters with GBAR's help for their unconditional love and reminding us everyday that what we do matters.
When we look at this list we see many people who fit in more than one of these categories. We are truly blessed beyond measure.
We hope you, too, have an abundance of things to be thankful for. We appreciate each and everyone of you! HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL 🧡💛🤎

If you see something, DO something. This kitten got to live another day because someone cared enough to help. We pray this little one will be able to have a long happy life.
We were contacted yesterday by a good Samaritan who noticed this kitten in a very rural area- hunched up and all alone.
Because Coraline is moving to a foster to adopt home on Friday, GBAR was able to say yes. (Proof fostering saves lives)
When this 11 wk old kitten arrived at our vet's office, it had a low body temp and raging liquid 💩. The kitten is emaciated and per our vet, would not have survived the night. After being warmed and treated for dehydration, kitten was sent to one of our most experienced fosters.
We are happy to report kitten had a peaceful night snuggled in fleece blankets and survived to see a new day. Today will begin treatment for internal parasites and careful monitoring.
Please never look away from an animal in need. Maybe someone else will help, maybe it will survive on it's own, but maybe it was put in your path for a reason. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank those who say I am someone and I can help.
Please send healing thoughts to our newest little member of GBAR.
