Evoqes first time camping. We took Evoqe and Dixie to the Leatherwood ride this weekend. We rode some trails Friday and Dixie did the LD Saturday the heat was brutal with only 50% completion. But with a bunch of issues on trail Dixie ended up the first horse in. BUT being a QH she she pulsed down a little slower and ended up 2nd by seemed to be 10 seconds but was three minutes. Evoqe really seemed to enjoy his trip, and ate, drank and trailered like a pro.

Evanescence is now a 100 mile horse after completing the 50th anniversary 100 at the Old Dominion this last weekend. The ride started at 5:30am Saturday and went 23 hours for her seventh place finish. 29 riders started and only 13 finished. Horses were losing shoes like crazy. The farriers would put them on and the beast of the East would take them and keep them. We were fortunate to keep ours since our farrier has been shoeing our horses for this ride for many years now. The weather was cool and dry, Infact we did not sponge Evee all day, she would come in pulse down and head to the vet. She is constantly surprising us.

Yesterday was the west range ride at Biltmore here's Evoqe on his way to the bridge. He went twelve miles with Tracy as she kept yelling at me and Dixie to stop and let her catch up.

Got Dixie and Evee out for a five mile stretch today and just to make it interesting I rode Dixie with just a neckrope

Today Evoqe got some Blue Trail miles at Biltmore with Romeo to mentor him through the mud puddles. We've had Romeo for 16 years, (he is 27) and this was Tracy Law Benedicts first time on him.

I always impressed with how well our horses tolerate me.

Evanessence comin in first Friday at Broxton. Missed Best Condition by 1:5 points. Tracy went potty before she weighed in. Won't be doing that again.

Evoqe now has 4 lifetime miles.

Surposed to be washing a trailer but goofing off instead.

Tracy and Tina hit the trails at Moses Cone Park today the high was 77 degrees. Located on the Blue Ridge Parkway near Blowing Rock, it's a great place to put some miles on Horses.

Another first time out of the round pen this week. This time it's five year old Ben. We had a red colt lined up for the redhead kid, but unfortunately those plans changed. Now he just says I'll ride "Navoke"
