With all the flurry leading up to Xmas l forgot to post Birthday greetings for Delinda's first litter, born on the 23rd December 2020. Happiest of days for Ronan, Banjo, Skye, Daisy, Figgy and of course Cider.

Christmas meet with Santa in the mall. Buzz loved Santa and l think Santa felt the same about Buzz.

Well in the lead up to Xmas Buzz and l took a nosework class. It was very enjoyable and the atmosphere during the classes was great. We were under no pressure to perform rather focusing on getting the foundation skills right.. Buzz behaved beautifully although still playful and enjoying himself in his puppy ways. He learnt to use the ramp to the car along the way. It was quite relaxing for both of us and a lot was acheived over 3 weeks. We will be back.

On Thursday we celebrated Delinda's 9th 🎂 As delightful as ever she had new toys and treats to enjoy. Thanks Jenny Baker for breeding this girl who has taken me on so many memorable journeys.

Buzz and l ventured out to Sunbury for a hot day of showing. Buzz was puppy of breed but went no further. It was great to catch up with friends l haven't seen in a while and Kate took some photos of my very promising boy.

Some pics of Buzz in the group line up on Saturday morning at Ballarat. Buzz got best of breed at both am and pm shows. He behaved very well but was a bit over it for the second show. Great company at the show with Vicki and Katrina showing roughs and taking it in turns for BOB.

This arrived today and even though Cider has been a champion for a while it is lovely to have it official. Thanks Rebecca, Jenny and Corina for all being part of the smooth collie group who have inspired, supported and taught me so much. I know Cider has the best home with you Bec. Sorry l couldn't tag you Corina, maybe a glitch in the system!

Time for an update on what some of the Wiru descendants have been up to. In Queensland Cider was BOB at the club championship show judged by Tim Thomas. Then at the next days championship show Nyssa, who is Figgy's daughter won Best in Show under Icelandic judge Herdis Hallmarsdottir.

Massive congratulations to Bec and Corina for the effort you both have put into showcasing the breed and not just in the confirmation ring.

Yesterday Buzz and l ventured out to Skye for the Collie Club of Victoria open and championship shows. What a great day it turned out to be. With Elsa holding the fort at home it was Buzz's longest car journey yet.

In the open show, under judge Mr Glenn Raven, Buzz was, politely put, very playful but also baby of breed.

He then settled more for the Championship show under Mrs Shelley Wildman (WA) where he delighted with a baby of breed and baby puppy in show!!!

I think he won some hearts and made some new friends, both human and canine.

Another highlight was seeing Mabel, bought over from SA and looking great for her age.

Thanks to the collie club, committee and helpers, the judges and the other competitors for a very enjoyable day. Thanks also to the sponsors, we came home with some great prizes, and congratulations to the other winners on the day.

Home from an early start and a morning of dog showing. Buzz did well for his first dog show outing and was baby of breed.

Yesterday was market day. Buzz enjoyed a morning out in the rare sunshine with Ziva in the pram. For his first outing solely on lead he was really good and managed to relax while l had a coffee and took in some music 🎶
