Petunia is coming back in less than 24 hours, but I’m not mad about it. The people who adopted her realized that two dogs might be too much, and that their own dog might be better off being a Singleton, even though the meet and greet went very very well, sometimes the reality of having a multiple dog home doesn’t hit you until you’re actually living in it.
We are actually very happy to take Petunia back, because as you know, she’s one of my personal favorites.. 🌸🌸🌸🌸
Our itty bittie Petunia is finally going to her forever home, and I am so happy for her. But we will miss her dearly. We are so glad that her adopters live close to her foster parents. 💖
Three happy puppies left Waukegan police animal control! 2 went to forever homes, and our boy Archie is in a foster home. More to come on Archie after he decompresses and gains a little bit more more weight. 🥳

I’m so sorry that we haven’t posted in a while, but we have been busy! Congratulations to all three of these dogs who left animal control within the last three weeks!! All three dogs are lucky to have found absolutely wonderful forever homes!

How is Moose still available???
Foster dog Moose (right) has come so far in his socialization journey! When he first came to us he was very reactive due to over arousal and a general lack of knowing how to act around other dogs. He would lunge and bark, and if he couldn’t get to them he would whine and scream, so it was assumed he might be borderline aggressive and need to be the only dog in his future home.
He now enjoys going out with the group and I can trust him around other dogs now that he has learned to properly communicate, read body language, and control his excitement. He could very easily live with another dog after a proper introduction.
Moose is available for adoption through Blackdog All Breed Dog Rescue. Anyone local who adopts him will receive a FREE private lesson from me. Out of state transport is available for the right home!
Meet Moose! Or as his fosters loving call him “Fat Head” and boy is that the truth! This stocky, big headed man is as handsome and loving as they get!
Moose is currently being fostered by two dog trainers, where he’s been learning house manners, basic obedience, and proper socialization with other dogs.
Moose is crate trained, hasn’t had any accidents in the house, and could live with other dogs after proper introductions. He would do best with someone who had bully breed experience and plans to continue his training.
Moose would love an active partner to show him what this wonderful world has to offer. Moose loves food and would love to share a snack with his new human after a run or a good walk.

Moose has been living with two dog trainers, who wanted to foster him for us. That is every rescues dream.
Moose is crate trained, does well on leash, and has a nice house manners.
Moose is basically a big bowling ball or meathead. We love his stubby little body and we think he will too.

Two dogs left animal control yesterday and one is leaving Tuesday! I have been so bad about posting on our business page!! Moose is the big blonde beefy boy who will be in a foster home on Tuesday. We will keep you posted on him and will be looking for his forever family. The other two dogs were adopted.

Part of the responsibility of owning a dog is getting training for the dog. A professional dog trainer can teach you how to become a much more effective communicator with your dog. They are not born knowing human and so many people expect them to understand immediately.

Oh. My. Goodness. Total cuteness just left the Evanston shelter and is headed to a foster home. This little 10 week old nugget ( he is a boy), will be available for adoption soon! We are calling him Luke!!!!
