This photo of Finn, the wild mustang purchased by Joy Baker of REIN Rescue, was the mustang I was working with yesterday. Someone wanted to know what Finn had to say, so here's what I learned:
Animal Communicator Lauren Wingate:
Hey Kathleen Watkins! I've read most of the mustangs at REIN Rescue. First, the energy of the mustangs is very different from the other horses. There's a depth of soulfulness that is a common thread among them and it's fascinating to read them. They are incredibly visual with me when I tune into them.
They're more physical in their responses to the herd and with people when they don't like something. There’s a grittiness and somewhat of a sense of schoolyard justice in the herd which is pretty typical in any herd but it goes to a whole new level with the mustangs.
Finn is in that fascinating stage of letting his "wild" guard down and adjusting to this new relationship with humans. So he is adapting to this new phase of leaving one world and entering a new one. He's trying to read the room in a very tentative way. His curiosity drive is big so in this phase, curiosity and lack of trust are bouncing off of each other. It's a bit stressful for him.
He's right on the edge of trusting. Joy’s doing a phenomenal job of maintaining steadiness and pressure to enhance his progress. I tried to keep his feet moving to improve the continual energy release that I felt from him.
He shared a visual of himself running with the wild herd including the sound of thundering hooves. This was his world and comfort zone in his first few years of life. It’s big and powerful energy that still runs through him and has to be released because it does not serve him in his new world. I continued to keep the space open and encouraged him to let it go.
It’s a sacred gift to be able to help them. I’ve learned a lot about myself and I’m humbled to be in their presence and communicate with them. Thanks Joy Baker for what you do, your commitment is unparelled.❤️
