For anyone who doesn’t already know - Premier Performance have a lovely shop in the industrial estate in Newbridge in Kildare.

You probably know them as the creators of their famous Calming Cookies but they have a huge range of products available for everything from joint health to digestion.

Last year they sponsored some prizes for the DI Ball charity raffle - not only that but when a friend and I went over to collect the lovely owner Camilla had stayed (despite being up the walls with a Black Friday) to meet and greet us personally and show us around with her team member Eleanor.

My lovely friend who came up yesterday to take part in our dressage clinic with her gorgeous horse Ri 👑

You meet the most amazing people through horses, Aoife and I met at a trainers yard years ago and five mins in it was like we had known each other for ever!

When I was younger I could only dream of having a horse. To have wonderful horses and the use of amazing facilities and to be able to enjoy it with friends is beyond those dreams and I am grateful every day. 🧡

Thanks so much to Sean for more great dressage training yesterday, really focussing on the way of going of both horses 🐴

I had been struggling this week with suppleness sigh Sammy so Sean helped me loosen up his neck and get him using his hind quarters.

With Oisin we varied his outline and pace to get him through and created more activity in his hind end which felt amazing especially in canter!

Lots of homework to do on both boys before our next session 📝

Every so often I go through phases of striving to be more elegant, more classic, more understated, more muted or subtle in my palette and my decor and my attire.
I am to be organised and tidy and not chaos.

I then, every damn time, realise I’m incapable 😂 the wheels come off the train and the train comes off the track.

If I was chocolate I’d be popping candy chocolate not a plain milk

If I was music, I’m not an opera classic I’m Eurovision 🎶

I’m always a mess so I just aim to occasionally a hot mess.

So instead of some classy DIY attempt at bathroom@L decor I’ve framed a print I found of a cat I think looks like pumpkin - it’s even on the toilet, she loves the toilet.

It’s so fabulously garish that it competes beautifully with the clashing leopard bath mat.

Fantastic session this evening at Emerald with Sparrow Equestrian and Tom Walsh It was another new venue for Tick Tock who didn’t bat an eyelid. Our Story

My aim in life is to be happy. What makes me happy? Horses, dogs, writing, photography and chocolate. Welcome to my world - we’re all mad here.

I use my website and page to document the reality of life with horses - its often hard and frustrating but we equestrians all live for the days where it is rewarding and no matter what is thrown at us most of us wouldn’t change it for the world. Horses are such a passion that they bring together like minded people and my truest friendships were founded upon it. Sharing a laugh or a good day with like minded friends is the cure for many things.

I used to be a very anxious competitor especially over fences. Over the past few years I have really pushed myself as a rider and as a coach. I’ve realised it is never too late to learn or to improve and that there is a lot to be gained from helping others to do the same.

Being a ‘blogger’ often comes with negative connotations and people can be quick to judge or pass remarks. It’s something I’ve made a conscious effort to block out recently as negativity helps no one and someone who judges others has their own issues that you don’t need to be involved in. This is my own journey with horses and if it helps someone else or gives them a laugh then I am delighted. I try to see and bring out the best in my horses and to take every opportunity that comes my way as none of us ever know how many we will get so grab them all with both hands!
