💰Description of donation:
Za’atar is a Levantine family of mixture of herbs, sumac, salt and toasted sesame seed. It is commonly eaten with pita, which is dipped in olive oil and then Za’atar.
When the herb is mixed with oil and becomes a paste it’s then spread onto dough or already baked bread! In the Middle East isn’t known as Manaeesh!
Pair it with some fresh veggies, mint leaves, spreads and olives and go to town!

Alarming new secretly-recorded footage from a pig slaughterhouse shows appalling conditions and blatant violations of animal protection laws. Provided anonymously to Animal Justice, the video is the first undercover look at pig slaughter in Canada.

The disturbing footage gathered from Johnston’s Packers (also known as Johnston’s Meats or Johnston’s Pork), a provincially-licensed slaughterhouse in Chilliwack, British Columbia, shows pigs desperately trying to escape, being stunned improperly and cut open while still conscious, and the heartbreaking fear in their eyes as they see they’re about to die.

If you are able to watch, please do so. If not, please share. If you have already seen the suffering of these precious souls, there is no need to keep watching it. However, share where you feel comfortable.
They wanted to live.

This is one of the top sad gatherings of the year for me and a lot of other people. Some of us are not welcome at our family's homes, or they will be eating those beings we are so desperately trying to save. Needless to say, it can be an emotional time of year.

There will be videos to follow, however for now here are just a few of the pictures from yesterday's spectacular event at the Fringe. We escaped the inevitable rain and attracted the attention of the crowds inside and outside of the fringe. Amazing. One of our best events. Next year will bring new days and locations :-)
