Meet Frankie! 🐾
Hi, I’m Frankie, an extremely playful black lab mix! I was surrendered down south and made my way up to the caring people in Iowa to start fresh. I’ve spent my entire 5+ years with my best friend, Fiona. We get along great and have so much fun playing together, but we're not as emotionally bonded as some pairs. While we may thrive in separate homes, finding a home together would be absolutely amazing!

🏡 Home Requirements
I’d love a home with a fenced yard where I can run and play! Please please PLEASE throw the ball! the frisbee! Anything! I will bring it back to you and drop it for the next round! While I’ve spent most of my life with Fiona and am very comfortable with her, I can be a bit unsure about interacting with other dogs. A patient, experienced family who can help me (and Fiona!) build confidence with other pets and continue our engagement and consistency training would be perfect.

💪 Training & Energy
I’m very well-behaved in my crate, I generally don’t bark or whine. I also have great house manners: I’m potty-trained, respect gates, and don’t scratch at doors or windows when I need to go out. I know a variety of commands like "sit," "shake," and "down," and I’m eager to learn more because I LOVE treats! I could use some help with my leash manners since I get excited on walks, but I’m a quick learner. I’m also full of energy and would love an active family who can provide plenty of playtime and exercise. I take a tiny bit longer to warm up to my people than Fiona but give me a week or so to decompress and figure out bouncing to a new place, and then I will start to cuddle and love you. But I will chase toys and bring them back to you on day 1!!!

Our street dogs we took in almost a month ago, are the sweetest dogs.
Pearl and Casper, they were on the streets of Houston and Pearl was pregnant. Their sweet faces captured our hearts and how Casper was bonded with Pearl and protecting her.
They were were both caught, Pearl was real easy, she jumped in the car, Casper was not as easy, but he went right into the trap.
They started their transport on their way here and Pearl started having her pups.
She had 9 and one was still born.
But the rest were very healthy.
Since Pearl had her pups, she trusted Casper to be around the pups and he was very watchful of this family.
He helped care for the pups and would lay by the pool or in it with Pearl and pups.
The pups will be a month old on Friday and are growing fast. They are climbing out if the pool and exploring their world.
Pearl and Casper have been been great parents, and Casper is so gentle with the pups.
It has been fun to watch this family and how they work as a team to care for the puppies.
The pups will be ready in 1 more month.

Update: Foster found, her name is now Lilo

She is looking for a foster home or adoptor.
She is about 4-5 months old.
She was dumped in Evansdale and we need to get her into a home that will work with her on kennel training and get her house broke .
She is a ball of puppy energy and could care less about cats.
She would do good in a home with a dog who will play with her and not a older dog who won't tolerate her energy.

Beautiful Mysti has been in rescue for so very long. She'd love nothing more than to have her family see her post and adopt her for the new year!!! She really needs a great start to 2025! This sweet 3 year old lady has recently made great progress with other dogs in her foster home. We are so proud of her! She loves walks, car rides, and toys. What more could you want?? We are THRILLED for Bugsy! You have probably watched his journey for awhile now and we are happy to report he is healthy and ready for his forever home! 🙌Here is an update from his foster home!

Bugsy is a loving boy ready for a furever home. He is a couch potato🥔and will never turn down cuddle time. He is very friendly with meeting new people, but is not good with little kids. He does great in the car and never barks in the house! He was an outside dog for 6 years, so he does not like to be kenneled. When rescued, Bugsy was emaciated, heartworm positive, and covered in scars. Today, he has completed heartworm treatment and gained 10lbs in a month! We are unsure how he does with other animals. Busgy has had a rough 6 years and deserves the absolute best home where he will be safe and loved 🐾

It's Dozer's turn to find his forever!!! He is the last of Nugget's pups to be adopted. Here are some fun pictures and details for this little man!

Dozer has been the largest of Nugget's puppies since the start and got his name for bulldozing through his siblings and items in the enclosure to get what he wants. He has a sweet demeanor and absolutely loves to be held and get cuddles. He is very playful with his siblings and mama and loves finding sticks and hidden treasures outside.

*Nugget* This mama has FINALLY done it! She raised her LAST litter of pups! She is ready for her forever family to claim her! She will be spayed soon now that she is done nursing! She does have skin issues that we are working on as well. The struggle is finding answers while she has been nursing (some meds aren't an option) and now we can move toward further answers. She would LOVE humans to always have hands available to pet her. She walks right into your hand and body looking for love. Her foster family has been amazing with her and here's what they want you to know!

Nugget has loved every minute of her new life off the chain. She has spent the last few months with her pups but also experiencing a lot of things for the first time in her 4+ years. Nugget is relatively low energy-she loves to relax next to her fosters and has a carefree, happy demeanor.....her tail almost never stops wagging. She has done well with all of the kiddos she's met from elementary age+ and has enjoyed being introduced to other adults both in and out of our home as well.

She enjoys yak milk bones but hasn't quite caught on to the point of balls or other toys. She is incredibly sweet and mature, loves to be outside and go for car rides. Nugget pays no mind to the three cats in our home and has no known history of issues with cats prior to coming into her foster home. Due to the puppies coming so quickly after taking her, we haven't had many experiences with Nugget around other dogs. Between the puppies and weather, we haven't had many walks-she has done well for the most part but could use some additional leash training/skills. She will use a kennel but does experience some separation anxiety and has done much better alone without being confined. Nugget had a rough start to life and just wants a loving home now that her babies are more independent.

*Mama Harper* This sweet mama needs to be moved ASAP. We are looking for a FOSTER or FOREVER family to step up for her! She is now healthy and ready for life! Her foster family has been with her through many things and it's time for her to move on towards her very own forever. Here is what they say about this sweet, sweet lady! 👇

She is the bestest girl! She will steal your shoes and clothes and try to eat them. She hoards all the toys downstairs. We go down daily and grab them all and bring them back upstairs. She will also grab my boxes of saran wrap, crockpot liners and baggies and take them downstairs 🤣

She loves to be with her people. She doesn't like to be shut in a room or downstairs if nobody is with her. She whines and tries to get out. She loves to lay and snuggle on the sofa or bed with you. She loves to play and so far has not been an aggressive player. She will jump up and try to grab your arm with her mouth when playing but nothing aggressive and worrisome. She has never had an accident in the house and will sometimes refuse to go outside in the morning until she's fully awake lol.

Harper will require meet and greets with animals living in her new home! Harper is nervous around small children. Can you open up your home for Harper to lay her head after the ROUGH start she's had?? She is just looking for some daily loving!

Mila is one of our almost triplets, "twin" to Pinky. She has a spicy personality that has finally started to show now that there are less pups to contend with. Pearl and Casper are on their way and pearl decided to have her pups on the way. She had 7 pups, one was stillborn, was not developed. But she has 6 beautiful puppies. They will arrive tonight around 730.

Little Hope is doing good. She is eating well and slowly gaining weight. She is not wobbly like she was. We are grateful that she is doing well. She is 17.1 lbs

This sweet girl is at Evansdale ac. We dog tested her and does great with male dogs. She did great with a puppy too. She ignored cats in the kennel, but still not sure if 100% okay with cats. She does have skin issues. She is a sweet girl and really needs a foster home/ adoptor. Please PM the page for more information

You guys!!! 📣 I'm looking for your help!! Siri has been through it all this year! Puppies, heartworm treatment, spay with infection.... BUT now she is amazing and ready for her forever. HERE is where I need 👇 Her foster is going on vacation and she needs a spot to hang. BUT I want to move her to an adoptive home instead!!!!! 👏 Can someone PLEASE love her???? ❤️ *Siri* This 3 year old love muffin is ready for her forever home full of adventures! Her loving foster mama says amazing things, check it out! 👇 Siri is a W.O.N.D.E.R.F.U.L girl who loves being near her people, loves to give gentle “hugs”, and loves her outside time. She is a people dog, through and through, who has yet to meet a person she doesn’t want to greet/be petted by. She certainly has her favorites, my neighbor Bob being one of them… she is a huge fan of him 🥰 Some of my favorite things about Siri are her adorable waddle when she walks, her backwards head tilts to stare at me, and her tongue lolling out the side of her mouth. She’s generally a very laid back girl who just wants to love and be loved! She often exposes her belly for pets, her tail is a thumping machine in the morning or when you get home, and her happy tail is always circling like helicopter blades. *As seen in video* Siri would love a fenced yard where she could be allowed outside to leisurely wander and explore at her discretion. Being very food motivated, what she really likes have been puzzle toys with treats in them and kongs with PB in them. She does require toys and things that can withstand a strong chewer. Bugsy has been to the vet today. He has heartworms that are advanced and has an enlarged heart and in the lungs. He does not have congested heart failure. He has a good chance of survival. Back story, he had lived outside and in the video, he is trying to hide his bone. He is about 5 yrs old, is learning to live in the house. Does not like the kennel and will be learning about the kennel. He is going to VRC in Marshalltown and we are needing help with vet care.
