What a GREAT Groundwork Perfection & Intro to Liberty Clinic we had! Everyone stepped up their game and the changes in both the horses and you all were just mind blowing. We are working on some really cool things from the clinic and lessons I taught to release to the Master Horseman Members this week but in the meantime if anyone has ANY pictures or videos they took from either the clinic or your private lessons with me while I was there please text them to me at 704-794-3508 if you don’t mind me using them for promotional materials and learning aids in the future ❤️

JUST A QUICK REMINDER/clarification!

You don’t need to text me to sign up for future lessons or clinics any more. 🙂 this weekend we are setting up Acuity Scheduling, where you can self schedule lessons and clinics, with full payment required at the time of signup. Each month, the link for Acuity will be posted first on the Master Horseman Online members page, and then a few days later the link will be posted here, and will cover all clinic and lesson slots for the whole month. I will continue to confirm that a waiver has been signed at time of scheduling. Going forward, the link for the entire month will be posted to Master Horseman Online on the 1st of the month and to this page/general public on the 5th of the month. One of the many perks to Master Horseman Online is earlier access to those lesson and clinic spots… we all know the prime spots fill up fast! Please still contact me to join Master Horseman Online…. Current members are RAVING about the content! Master Horseman is billed monthly and due by the 25th of the month for the next month, but you cancel any time if you try it and it’s not for you. Master Horseman Online program starts Sunday, September 1st. All who have signed up and paid for their membership will be added to that page Sunday morning.

Also, sign ups for the Sept 28-29 clinic and lessons will be next weekend. Ordinarily they'd be on the 1st of the month but I'm having some trouble with Acuity scheduling, so Jessie will be setting that up when she's here next weekend for lessons and clinic, and then it will be opened.

I have been asked a few times about having lesson horses. We don't, unfortunately and the logistics of that get difficult. Anyone who wants to ask around to see if someone else has a horse they can use for lessons is welcome to do so, but this must be ok'd by Jessie before a lesson will be confirmed. (Not all horses are suitable for all riders.)

Going forward, we will be using Acuity Scheduling, like Jessie has before. Until that's fully linked to the bank, you can TEXT me at 910-632-3160 (no texts after 10PM or before 6AM, please) to sign up for September 6-9 lessons or clinics. Please include your name, YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS, and your horse's name. For clinics, please include your preference for AM or PM session. Most lesson availability right now is for Monday Sept 9 during the day, will be at Happy Day Farm, in Gold Hill, NC (covered arena and performance footing).

For now, those photos will come to me, and I'll add them to their frame. It's best to send 5 at a time or less, and can do video clips up to about 30 seconds, too. I'll keep the frame here for them until they come back in September, so all they'll need to do to enjoy photos in their new home is plug it in. Thanks!

Wow what a weekend! The first show of the season was a huge success for the TL Team! Our group knocked it out of the park Southern Stockhorse Associations Spring Spectacular! Several stepped out into the show scene for the first time conquering nerves and putting out their best horsemanship and sportsmanship skills, others stepped up into new levels of competition and challenges proving they are growing in ability and confidence, and some set their new personal best scores in classes they’ve been struggling with last year. It’s not about the ribbons, it’s about the growth as a horseman, a sportsman, a showman, and most of all in the relationship with your horse, your partner in all this. This is a lifelong journey and I hope you all never loose sight and hunger for that part no matter how small or large your goals are!

Bred and raised by us, Django is the trusty go-to guy everyone wants in their barn. He stands 14.3 hands on solid bone and good feet. He has carried his Novice owner through all the Ranch versatility events, from pattern classes to the cattle classes and will happily carry you down any trail. He has been shown in open Ranch shows as well as the Southern Stockhorse Association for several years. This is as easy keeping and low maintenance of a horse you could own. Knows all the maneuvers, can work a gate, crosses obstacles and knows his way around a rope and cattle. The is the kind of solid gelding everyone is looking for. He stays fat off air and has never had an injection or any issues requiring a vets attention other than routine vaccinations. Wears front shoes, UTD on everything and ready to go to work. He is more whoa than go, so the more confident riders will get more out of him but he has also been used for lessons and summer camps and would work well for a confident youth. For a fearful rider he will plug along and offer no more until they are ready, and then they have to prove it. Admittedly he is conservative with his energy. No vices. Currently lives outside in a herd but also does fine alone or in a stall. Will stand tied for hours, bathes, clips, loads and no problem for the vet or farrier. Only available due to owner moving up to a more advanced horse. Video available for serious inquiries by PM. Please no tire kickers. Mid-Low Five Figures $xx,###. Owner will give special consideration to someone wishing to keep him in our program.

First week of our Junior Master Horseman Summer Camp in the books! I didn’t get nearly enough pictures but loads of learning, growing, and fun was had! I did snap a few of their moments learning that not only are horses a lot of fun but also a lot of WORK! Thanks to all the parents that believe in our program and trust us with their kiddos. We love taking part in raising up the next generation of horsemen ❤️

Super late posting this but we had an awesome show at the SSA Summer Spectacular last weekend! Our crew all performed well and walked away with awards and lots of lessons and things to work on over the summer. A few highlights were Eva Fesperman winning her first ever cutting class, and Amy Manuel winning the novice trail. This crew is putting in the work and it shows, everyone stepped up their game and had higher placings in areas that are normally their weakness. THAT is what it’s all about! We are proud of all of you and look forward to continuing your progress the rest of the season 🏆

A few days late but wanted to shout out to our Twisted L Team for a wonderful weekend at the Southern Stockhorse Association Spring Spectacular. Everyone showed great! We witnessed SO many improvements and SO much growth! Many stepped up their game from 2022 already and we are just one show into the new year. So proud of the dedication, horsemanship and sportsmanship this group demonstrates every time. We are truly blessed with some of the best in our circle. Special congratulations to Reese Dombrowski on her double High Point win in both the SSA Sr Youth and ARHA Youth divisions, as well as High Point Show in her division, Brianna Beck on her Reserve High Point win in the Novice W/T division, and Whitley Souther on her Reserve High Point win in the Jr Youth W/T division.

Many “thank you”s are in order! Thank you to Andrea Aikman and our other wonderful clients for keeping us fed and helping with Spade when we needed it. To our own Kailey Welborn (Little Sorrel Photography), and the other parents for catching some great pics! Thank you to our dear friends Rickie Galliotti and Rebecca Prow for stepping in and aiding one of our horses in need.
