Our youngest cowgirl got to have her own night at a playday last night & of course had a blast. She wanted to run, but her Chief wouldn’t break out of a trot. And she’d make mama get down on one knee so she could use me to get on because she just had to do it herself. Love this wild one 🩷🩵

Don't feel bad about hanging on to a good horse.

Balance is hard. A friend recently shared the idea with me that we are all blessed with a number of different "gardens" in our lives. Just because you're tending another garden right now, it doesn't mean you won't be able to water this one again in the future. 😉

So even if you aren't out winning rodeos or working pastures or training colts right now...
Even if you only ride once a week, once a month or once in a blue moon...
You deserve to ride a good horse, too. ❤️

Constant battle. I’ve had a trailer full of horses to get me down the road down to just a couple of horses to keep my sanity and peace. I sure miss the days my job was to just ride horses every day on the same property I lived on. Life changes and gotta trust Gods plan, & His timing.

I have questioned a lot of things lately. Wondered if I should pass these horses along to someone who can get them where they should be and going down the road more consistently.

But then… that little voice comes in and if there’s anything good that voice brings, it reminds me that I have worked my bootyyyy off for the line up of horses I have. Even if they’re not finished rope horses. Even if they’re not clocking 1D. They all have the potential & capability to get there, I have no doubt.

I know God didn’t bring me this far for nothing. He has placed this passion in me for a reason. Even when it’s hard. Even when I’m broke. Even when I’m tired.

Here’s to no more excuses. Here’s to making a way to keep going down the road.
