Poor little Dinky has been waiting for months now to find a wife and a forever home. He’s become a lot more confident and friendly, although prefers not to be picked up. He is neutered and vaccinated.

This is a really difficult post to write. Due to personal, family and financial reasons I’m sadly going to have to close the rescue for the next few years. It’s not been an easy decision, especially with the crisis of unwanted animals there has been since lockdown and I’m sorry to those animals I’m not able to help and to the other rescues for putting more pressure on them.
I still have a few rabbits in foster that are waiting to find good homes but then I won’t be able to take in any more for a while I’m afraid.
I’d like to say a huge Thankyou to everyone who has supported my rescue and everyone who has adopted an animal off me in the past. I couldn’t have done it without your support.

If anyone is looking to adopt a rabbit or two while I’m closed please contact the following rabbit rescues: Burrowed hearts rescue, Brinsley animal rescue, love paws rescue, all ears rescue, honey bunnies or fat fluffs. For guinea pigs there is Avalon guinea pig rescue, or the above rabbit rescues take in piggies too. For cats there is Roxies cat rescue, Mansfield cat rescue, cat patrol, crazy Daisy ferals and feline and wildlife rescue.

Nibbles has now found his forever home ❤️ so hopefully it’s the turn of Dinky next! Dinky is a sweet little boy who is a bit scared of being picked up but is happy to be stroked and will hop over for food. He would like to find a wife bun to spend his life with in his new home. The good news for the day is that Steve and Piper finally have a home of their own! 🎉🎉😁 after being in rescue for more than a year I’m so happy for them. Their new mum took them on the proviso that they must bond with the current two buns, but fell in love with them and is offering them a home whether they bond of not ❤️

Nibbles and Dinky will soon be looking for a home and a wife of their own! Unfortunately they started fighting a day after their castrate operations so have been separated. I could try and re-bond them when their hormones have settled or they could find individual homes with a lady friend for company. They are around 8 months old, small size and will come to you for food but don’t really like being handled.
Accomadation check and adoption fees apply. They can be reserved now.

These two boys arrived today as an emergency as their owner was going on holiday and had no one to care for them. No negative comments please, I’d rather them be safe in rescue than on the street or anything else and that’s the main thing.
I wasn’t taking rabbits in at the moment though as I’m still working on paying off the vet bill. Thankyou to everyone who has entered the raffle but there are lots of numbers left if anyone else would like to join in.

I desperately need to raise some funds to pay off the existing vet bills that I have and to fund looking after the rabbits I currently have in my care. Eight of the rabbits with me have health issues and it is ongoing costs with them.
The raffle is £2 per ticket, you choose a number between 1-100 to put your name against. When the numbers are filled, numbers will be chosen at random to receive a prize.

Lola and Charlie were reserved but this has sadly fallen through so they are back up for adoption. They are such lovely rabbits who are friendly and will come to you for a fuss. They love to explore and need a large secure enclosure (Lola is an escape artist!). They also love to be involved in what you are doing and will ‘help’ with sweeping and gardening! They could live in a home with children and are fine with dogs.

Priscilla has had a big vets bill last week for investigations as she has been under the weather and lost a lot of weight. Luckily blood tests came back ok so she’s on antibiotics and supportive care. If anyone can help towards her bill the PayPal is [email protected] 🤞🏻🐰

This is Pancake! He was originally found as a stray in Nottingham and not claimed. He was fostered by a vet nurse at the vets he was taken into and once vaccinated and neutered he went to meet a potential girlfriend but after weeks of trying to bond them the girl bun still doesn’t like him so he is coming back to rescue.
His age is unknown but he’s a cute little man who needs to find a wife 😁🤞🏻

I don’t think I posted a video of Lola (another Lola!) when she arrived in rescue as she was betrothed to Joey 🤣! Joey’s foster mum fell in love with him and we needed a wife for him. He was tried with two girls we had in foster but he didn’t get on with one of them, even side by side through a barrier. So he came to meet Lola. We did a slow side by side bond over a week or two, with scent swapping and this is their first meeting - it went very smoothly. They are now really well bonded. Sometimes you just need to meet the right person (or rabbit 😆). 💙❤️💙

Happy birthday to Steve and Piper (and all of Lilly’s babies)! 🎉🍰🐰🎉
I got confused, I thought they were already one but their birthday is actually today.
These two are still in rescue and really deserve their own home. I think it’s their birthday wish! Their foster home is fab but it would be so nice for them to have a forever home after being born in rescue when their mum arrived heavily pregnant. They are beauties but prefer not to be touched which I think it going against them, but they’re great to watch run around.

Priscilla is still recovering from her operation but as soon as she is healed she will be available for adoption with her little friend Elvis! As Priscilla is a large breed they will need lots of room, ideally more than the minimum RWAF standards of 60sq feet. They love to explore. They aren’t phased by dogs. Not ideal for small children. Priscilla is 4 and Elvis is 5, both now neutered and vaccinated. Adoption fees apply.

This lovely pair of rabbits are available for adoption. They are friendly, inquisitive buns, just over a year old. They don’t mind being stroked and will eat out of your hand. They are ideal for a home where children want to be involved in their care. They will require a lot of space to explore and hop around and will make brilliant pets ❤️💙

The spotties are also booked in for further investigations into their chronic snuffles on Friday. They were originally booked in a couple of months ago but I postponed it when I injured my back. I need to get them sorted so they can hopefully find their forever homes ❤️

Big lady Priscilla has somehow managed to injure herself 😢 She has managed to take the skin off the very end of her tail leaving the bone exposed, so is going to have to have this amputated under anaesthetic. I can only assume she’s got it trapped under something then moved quickly and the skin got caught. Priscilla luckily isn’t concerned at all and doesn’t seem to have noticed! She’s booked in for it to be operated on in a couple of days. If anyone can spare a few pounds towards her unexpected vets bill the PayPal is [email protected]
