Patience and timing are crucial in forming a connection with your horse. Pressure isn’t always the answer, often times you are better served showing them the open door, then giving them the choice to go through it. At first, this mare was very hesitant to even come near this obstacle. By removing all pressure when she showed interest in approaching, allowing her to back up, then quietly asking again she gradually seeks the path of least resistance and calmly walked through the noodles.

First time to the beach for Tehama and I forgot a bridle🤦🏻‍♀️. Good thing he’s 100% good boy and I don’t need one. Love the work ethic on these cow horses! He went in up to his knees without much hesitation 😇🐴
