Ditto getting to play with the cattle
BOSS, straight from the barn to be saddled to the arena, no lunging/round pen before hand. Just got on and went. She's doing fantastic! 17 days into our program, from un-halterbroke and wild to riding in the arena 🥰
This is Dave he's a 2yo that came to us 10 days ago. He was not halterbroke and pretty wild. He would kick, bite and strike. He has made huge improvements. He is here for "ground school" to learn to lead, tie, bathe, trailer and be a good citizen for the farrier. He got his feet trimmed for the first time and loaded in the trailer like a normal horse instead of run in, like the wild one he was 10 days ago.
"Boss" 12 days ago she wasn't even halter broke. 7 days ago it took 3 hours to get her saddled for the first time. Now we are here 12 days in. We've made leaps and bounds of progress with her. She is definitely a challenge and time consuming which can take 2 of us sometimes. But for a 5yo that wasn't even halter, I'd say she's doing pretty well.
"Theia" the 2yo ASOF filly coming along. This very opinionated youngster is finally understanding forward motion and accepting the training proces.
Ditto getting some sled work in, picking up tracking it at the lope
When you're huge you get trained to the "mounting box"
"Boss" the 5yo Mustang. This is her 2nd ride. Her first ride was similar. She was pretty darn good
