Victoria is a one year old Frenchie looking for a loving , caring, Frenchie experienced home in Southern Maryland. She has a history of skin issues which may be to grass. If you have frenchie experience you know this is not unusual for the breed. Keep in mind while thinking about adopting, she may need medication the rest of her life, much that is not cheap. Amiga is a stunning 2.5 year old white Frenchie with blue markings. This spunky girl came to rescue with unhealthy skin, but with lots of TLC, she is looking like a new girl.
Amiga absolutely LOVES children, they really bring out the best in her. She still needs a home that will go slow and be patient with her as she earns your trust. Amiga loves getting rubs and treats from her foster mom, but still needs time to learn basic skills.
This beautiful girl has so much love to give and really needs a home that will embrace every moment of it.
She does very well with other dogs, but having a fursibling is not a must for her as she wants to eat up all the attention.

Arco and Argus are looking for a new Frenchie experienced foster home, adopter, or foster to adopt. You can tell by looking at them the past 2.5 years have not been good to them, but with your help the future will be brighter. These two will need baths, at the least every other day, good nutrition and medication to get them well. The rescue will provide the medication and food.
We are looking for homes in the southern Maryland area so our vet can treat them.
Arco may have more medical needs as we aren't sure what's going on with his back end. And his breathing is worse. Once they are a little healthier we will get to the vet for checkups and xrays for Arco.
We do not believe these boys spent much time in the house as everything is new and they are not housebroken. They do go in their crates and are good in them.

Joy is a happy, friendly girl who definitely lives up to her name! She has overcome her rough start to life and is hoping to find her furever home that can give her the lifetime of love she so truly deserves! She is a young 1 yo pit bull mix.

Joy is fully vetted, housebroken, and crate trained. She loves to play but also enjoys chewing on her chew toys and cuddling on the sofa. She would love a yard to play in and run zoomies! She is working on her leash skills but would probably make a good walking or hiking buddy. She would probably be better with older children as her exuberance for play may knock smaller children over. She should be ok with dogs but needs a proper introduction, again due to her exuberance and friendliness.

Ember is a happy, playful 1 year old pitbull. He is up to date on shots, microchipped, neutered, and crate trained.

Ember was returned to us a few months ago. We have been working on getting his gut issues figured out and he is doing a lot better. He is and needs to remain on a special food and diet.

Ember sometimes has accidents in his crate. We would love to find a home that has a doggy door or where someone is home during the day.

Congratulations to Oliver fka Popeye!! His family fell in love with his picture and came from a few hours away in VA to adopt him! He is on his way to a home where he will get the lifetime of love he deserves!!

Help Nova Find Her Forever Home!

Meet Nova, a beautiful 1-year-old, 62lb Labrador Retriever mix who finds herself in a situation she never expected. Nova's world turned upside down when her owner could no longer care for her, and she ended up in the shelter. This sudden change has left her feeling fearful and nervous, struggling to adjust to the chaotic environment around her.

Nova is a sweet and loving girl who just needs a chance to show her true personality. She is housebroken and great with kids, making her an ideal companion for a family. While she can be selective with other dogs, she did live peacefully with two other dogs in her previous home. However, her previous owner mentioned she has a tendency to chase small animals, so her compatibility with cats is unknown.

Nova can be unsure of strangers, particularly some men, which adds to her anxiety in the shelter where there are constantly new people caring for her or passing by. Despite her nervousness, Nova knows the commands "sit" and "paw" and loves to play fetch with a ball. When she warms up to you, she becomes an excited and sweet girl, eager to please and full of love.

Nova deserves a chance to thrive in a stable and loving environment where she can feel safe and secure. We are urgently seeking a rescue that can help Nova overcome her fears and allow her to blossom into the wonderful dog we know she can be. Who needs more Joy in their life? This sweet girl definitely lives up to her name!!

You may remember “Mama Joy” from a couple of months ago. This poor girl arrived at the shelter missing a lot of her fur from a yeast infection and she promptly gave birth to 4 puppies then needed an emergency spay when a large puppy couldn’t be born. Needless to say she hasn’t had it easy in her short life.

Joy’s puppies have all found their homes, her hair has grown back, and she is now looking for her own home where she can get the lifetime of love she deserves.

Joy is a young 1 year old, very friendly, sweet, silly, playful, and smart. She is mostly crate trained and housebroken. We are working on not jumping up on people and on leash walking skills but she is highly trainable. She would do well with older children (may knock little ones over), would be ok with other dogs with a proper introduction, but probably not cats. She is fully vetted including spay, 4dx tested (all negative), up to date in all vaccines, and microchipped.

Luna is a sweet, sweet girl! She is approximately seven months old and is in her puppy era, is gentle and sweet, and loves to play with her dog toys, play with the resident dogs, and chew on bones. Luna really enjoys companionship whether it’s from her two or four-legged foster family! Luna enjoys spending time outside during her daily walks and hanging out on the deck watching wildlife, and following her fosters around the yard while they garden and do house projects. Luna is curious and cute. Luna does extremely well on a leash without pulling. She is crate trained and is working on her potty training and house manners (not putting paws on the counter, but she did conquer stairs after a week!).

Luna is up to date on vaccines and rabies, has been 4 dx tested and microchipped, and has been spayed.
