The Underground Tailroad

The Underground Tailroad was started as a way to bring together animal rescuers in Southeast Georgia so that more urgent animals in kill facilities could make it to freedom. We focus on networking Fort Stewart, Liberty County, Long County, and Wayne County.

Each week, we post the cat and dog urgent lists for the facilities mentioned above. The posts have the contact information for that facility, as well as information on if the animals can be adopted or only pulled by a rescue. All success depends on the individuals following, sharing, and pledging on these posts. We’re always looking for the following to like and support this page: animal rescuers, pledgers, post sharers, fosters, transporters, adopters, and networkers. Everything helps, whether you pull an animal for your rescue or you pledge $5 for an animal in need. Please help us get these cats and dogs to freedom by joining The Underground Tailroad!
