Meet Stevie Licks!
Stevie absolutely LOVES to play and will chatter with excitement over her toys, she’s still a little unsure about being held but will tolerate it a bit for some pets. Stevie adores being pampered and loved on. She enjoys being brushed, pet, and receiving chin/butt scratches. She sure is a cuddly girl and just wants to be near her people. Stevie will ask for love by rubbing on your legs and talking with you. She is very food and treat motivated and has no shame about trying to steal others food. Another life pleasure of Stevie’s is looking out windows and basking in the sunshine. Stevie Licks is famously beautiful and could definitely be a model. Just look at her adorable mustache! Her coat is shiny now and she is definitely starting to fill out. To know Stevie is to love her. This foster has not only been a “lady” but she is “legendary” just like her namesake. Stevie is shy and needs patience but has done well around respectful children. She hasn’t been a fan of our cats but we believe she is just being protective of her babies. So we suggest that any introduction with other animals is done slowly.

Lucy is the quintessential velcro dog - So much so that it is distressing to be away from you. Her fosters are so impressed with how much progress she is making with her separation anxiety.
Lucy is building confidence through crate training and doing so well! A crate is going to be an important tool for her to be trustworthy when left alone.
Sweet, gentle, and patient with everyone! She will be your shadow, wanting nothing more than to always be by your side. Lucy’s forever family be so lucky to call her their own.

Momma Fern is an absolute cutie pie!
She came into the rescue sick with a cold and with kittens. She's done raising them and is healthy, spayed and all ready for adoption!
She's even started leash training! She can be timid and scared of new things but she is super duper sweet and loving once she's comfortable.

“Sisters, sisters... there were never such devoted sisters”
Meet Silk & Satin! These twins may look the same but they are quite the opposite in character. These sweethearts sadly had a hard start in life. They both have cerebellar hypoplasia (CH), commonly referred to as “wobble cat syndrome”. At the beginning of their journey, they couldn’t even stand and would just roll over like little potato bugs. You may remember the video we posted.
However, the girl’s CH is now VERY mild and only affects their balance and coordination a bit.
About Satin: Luxurious as the fabric itself this girl is as beautiful as can be. With her white coat with little dark patches on her head, and stunning blue eyes, Satin looks angelic and her personality is just as perfect as her looks. She is as sweet as sugar and is the definition of a lap cat. Satin is defined by being affectionate, cuddly, mellow, laidback, and calm. Don’t get her wrong though she definitely has a playful side that comes out from time to time. Give this girl a halo because she is truly an angel!
About Silk: Silk truly shines vibrantly just like the fabric! She is absolutely gorgeous with her blue eyes, long whiskers, white fur, and black freckle on her nose. Silk is the best combination of sweet and a little sassy. She is a petite lady but that doesn’t stop her from showing others who is boss. Silk has the most endearing curious nature and loves to peer at her royal subjects in the outside world. Silk is very lovey, cuddly, and has the best purr but also isn’t afraid to share her wild side!
These girls are 5 months old, fixed and fully vaccinated, dewormed and microchiped.
They would really like to find a Furever home together!

Nory is a beautiful girl that has had a very hard start in life. She gave birth to 7 grey kittens in a swampy area next to an apartment complex during a cold spring rain storm. They all passed away but we were able to rescue Nory. 💔
She's been in a foster home recovering and is now at the West Jordan PetSmart adoption center.
Like many cats in new homes she gets overwhelmed when brought to a new home and given full access to every room. She would do best starting in one room of the house at first and building trust and a relationship.

We were called from a vet a few weeks ago about Oliver and his brother who both were diagnosed with FIP asking if we could help. Of course we said yes. This past week, Oliver’s foster noticed sudden heavy abdominal breathing. We got him in to the vet that same day where they found probably pneumonia but also an enlarged heart. He is responding to antibiotics but we were referred to a cardiologist who squeezed us in today for an echo to see what is up with his heart. Poor baby is going through so much!

Transformation Tuesday!
As always, we are here begging for funds. But we want to show you what we do with them! This is Willow. She was adopted as a kitten from us. Turns out she had severe allergies to who knows what but it caused her to itch herself so badly she did damage to the point she was literally tearing off her skin. Her adopters had done their best but with todders, their compliance with her meds was not the best. And sometimes she would get out of her cone and tear herself up so bad she would need an ER visit and she one time tore off a piece of her ear.
They at one point had a euthanasia scheduled for her because they didn’t think she had quality of life, she was so miserable, but they called to cancel it and the vet office gave them our rescue name and she realized that is where she had adopted Willow from. We were able to find a foster to commit to what we knew would be a long term foster and started scheduling visits with dermatology. We changed cones to one harder to get out of, switched up some meds, changed up her food, and now look at her.
Willow will be on meds for life. She will be on special food. She will need to on claw caps and is currently only unconed when she is supervised. But she is happy and loves life. She purrs and gives head butts and snuggles and does not act in pain anymore.
Cases like this are expensive and we really need funds to continue them. Please consider donating even a small amount.

Meet Nona, a 2 year old Persian mix!
Orange girls are uncommon and she has luxurious long hair to boot! She's the sweetest snuggle buddy and had zero fear of people from the get go. When we first met her a month ago the poor girl had been living rough, she was skinny, dirty and matted. Her finders gave her an emotional support carrot toy that is still by far her favorite toy. 😄 She gets along with other animals given time and proper introductions, and has become very social with other cats in her foster home. She has been good with dogs as long as they are respectful and let her close the gap. If you want a friend that sits with you on the couch, cuddles up with you at night, and gives you all the purr therapy and biscuits you could hope for then this is the girl for you!

Senshi and Izutsumi are a fun little brother and sister pair looking for a home!
🐈 Senshi is the darker black tabby and a male.
🐈 Izutsumi is the lighter brown tabby with a cool ticked pattern and white mittens. And is a female.
They love to play together, hang out on the cat tower together, and chase each other around the house.
They may take a little bit to warm up to their new environment and people in the beginning, but once they feel comfortable, they warm up very fast.
They are purr machines as soon as you pet them, and loves pets and attention! They also love cuddling with their humans. They both sleep with their human foster mom at night.
Izutsumi (the girl) is a little more shy, but she is the sweetest kitten with lots of love to give. She is more confident when she is around her brother, Senshi. Senshi can be a bit shy at first too, but once he feels safe, he is an outgoing kitten with a big personality. They are both great with other cats, and they have been around small dogs and a toddler. They do great with all, as long as the dogs and kids aren’t too crazy.

Cinder is about 8 years old.
This cuddly feline might as well be called the cowardly lion. Cinder is a large and muscular cat with thick skin and battle scars, but don't let his appearance fool you. He's as skittish as the mice he's supposed to hunt and as cuddly as cats come. He loves chin and ear scratches, laying on blankets, and playing with toys. He will rub circles around you for hours, lounge on your lap, and bury his head in the crook of your arm.
Background and Needs:
Cinder was rescued from a life on the streets. As a stray, he was often sniffling and limping, covered in scratches, and would cower if anyone tried to get close to him. Although his physical wounds are fully healed, he needs help recovering emotionally. A quiet home with plenty of love to give would be a great fit for him. Small children are likely too rowdy for his sensitive soul, but other cats may be an option as long as they are introduced properly. Take extra care if he seems scared or overwhelmed. He must be kept indoors.
Medical History:
Cinder is a dewormed, vaccinated, and neutered male. He has Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). Which is similar to HIV in humans. This means he is more susceptible to disease, illness, and infection because of a weakened immune system. Cats with FIV cannot transfer the virus to people (and only to other cats through mating or deep bite wounds). Please do more research if you have any concerns.
Other Notes:
He has bald patches because he was extremely matted and needed to be shaved in those spots.
Cinder has a crooked front leg and back toe. These are likely from healed injuries and don't cause him any pain.
His adoption fee is only $50 and he has had all of his vet work done.

Here's a little update on our progress this summer:
From May 30th through the end of July, we will have fixed over 220 cats and kittens! This is a significant achievement, but we still have about 40 more cats/kittens at weight and ready for surgery. But we need your help.
We currently owe $937 at one of our spay/neuter vets, and about $3,500 at another clinic.
We really need to pay them so we can get more appointments and help the cats on their way to their forever homes.

These two are searching FUR their homes! Both have been around other cats and had some exposure to dogs and children.
Nyx the male black Panther is very loving and enjoys his treats and snuggles. Dolly enjoys her lower half being petted especially and will take a little longer to warm up to the home but once she's comfortable will adjust.
They are 3.5 months old and have VERY good litter and eating habits. They will be low maintenance cats and don't need to be adopted together but of course they could make a great pair too!
Their foster will gift a BRAND new cat tree with their adoption! 🙀 Pictured below.
These 3 gorgeous kittens are ready for adoption! 😻
Odin is flame point Siamese mix with beautiful light blue eyes. He likes to observe things before participating. He loves snuggling with his brothers, and has a great purr when being held.
Loki has a very cute mustache to compliment his snowshoe siamese markings and pale blue eyes. He purrs loudly when you pet him or hold him. He is on the shy side. He could benefit from having another confident cat or kitten to snuggle with and learn confidence from. He almost never leaves his brothers' sides.
Atlas is bold and adventurous, and has pretty soft orange and white fur with white paws. He loves to snuggle and play with his siblings. He's also very sweet and affectionate with the humans in his life, and will be a great lap cat when not in play mode. He loves being held and has a great purr.
All have been neutered, vaccinated, dewormed and microchipped!

When it rains, it pours. Last night this kitten’s foster noticed his breathing become very labored. Suspecting a hernia, she ran to Mountain West with him. But it was not just a simple hernia, his organs have actually herniated in to the pericardial space around his heart. He may also have pneumonia. He was not doing any better in oxygen then out, so the hospital sent us home with some meds, told him to grow, and we scheduled some surgical consults to see what kind of outlook this little man had. We were contacted about this cat that was an OWNED cat but was no longer wanted. A neighbor had been feeding him on her porch and commented to the owners that it looked days away from dying and the owners replied ”oh well.” That was it. That was all they cared about. The neighbor could not keep the cat so received permission to rehome the cat from the owners. He is in horrible shape. Skin and bones under mats on top of mats. He smells to high heaven even after receivong a bath. While hoping to make it to our regular vet tomorrow, he became less responsive less than 12 hours after receiving him so ER it is. We are strapped for funds right now. We have barely received any donations in the past month and are facing some very big bills for animals already in our care. Please please donate. We need it. We were contacted about these little cuties over the weekend who had been born with a little tilt but as they became mobile it became significantly worse. Since they are only rolling to the right, never to the left, we are ruling out some things but preparing for needing some intense scans down the line. Our vet looked them over and said they looked fat and happy otherwise and we laid out our plan for them. One of the more odd presentations we have seen! We are known as a medical rescue and it pains us how many we have had to turn away due to lack of funds lately. Our donations are almost non existent. We had no donations on our page for our last high medical case we posted. We want to continue taking in cases like this because we have the skill and knowledge and vet relations to do so, but cannot do it without donations from the public. Elvira is excited to let everyone know she finally feels like a cat again! And she has her hearing back!! Diligent drops and antibiotics by her foster got her most of the way there. Today’s CT scan showed a ginormous polyp in her eustachian tube that was removed along with a lot of inflammatory tissue and debris. The debris was cleaned up, she was prescribed new drops, new meds, and I bet she is feeling like a whole new woman. Thanks so much to VetMed Consultants as always for their fine work on these cases. Our total today was $3500 and she will need another CT scan in 8 weeks to make sure the polyp stayed away and the inflammatory tissue is gone. It is seeing cats make a recovery like this that make us remember why we do things. Hey everyone! Dame Gwenevier is ready for her coming out party! She is officially available! (“Gwen” or "Dama" for shorts) was very loved and pampered by her former owner who unfortunately passed away unexpectedly a few weeks ago. Gwen has been grieving and is now coming out of her shell very nicely in her doting foster home! Gwen is an older gal at 11 years old although you wouldn’t know it as she is quite spry and playful. She cannot resist a feather toy, even during nap time. She's super into catnip and rolls herself all over it until the nip disappears into her abyssal fluff. She's food motivated (ahem - Temptation treat motivated) and is even willing to learn tricks for them. Who says you can’t teach an old cat new tricks! She will spin in a circle for a treat and learned how to do that in an afternoon. She is, a very self-respecting lady and has lived with two other cats in her former home however she might do best as an only cat unless people are committed to a very slow and patient introduction. She hasn’t been around dogs but could potentially do ok with the right one. Gwen is great with the litter box, is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and was declawed prior to coming into our care. Happy Mother's Day! 💐 This sweet momma has been doing a good job raising all her matching babies. Aren't they adorable? Usually we let feral mom cats raise their babies outdoors and then take them when they can eat on their own and fix and return the mom cat. But when that absolutely can't work we sometimes use a set up like this to help unsocialized feral mom cats feel more comfortable. She's raising them in a chicken coop inside of a big crate, nice and private. But still contained and safe.

This sweet little girl showed up at the home of one of our volunteers this weekend, with a very injured leg. She was taken to an emergency vet. They discovered that her leg wasn't broken but her foot had been burned by caustic acid. She should be able to keep her foot and heal! But medical expenses are very high for us right now.
