Perhaps you’ve read about this. To my knowledge we haven’t had any cases in Ozaukee County, but it is spreading quickly. Affected dogs have not tested positive for any of the common known respiratory pathogens, including COVID. Epidemiologists are working hard to find an answer. In the meantime, I’m keeping on top of treatment options that have been most successful for affected dogs. Contact us if your dog develops symptoms.

Our friends at Best Friends Veterinary Center really are the BEST! This cutie is Walter. He swallowed a fruit shaped liquid candy container and it ripped a hole in his intestines, causing a life threatening abdominal infection. Dr. Boss and the staff at Best Friends rearranged their entire Monday to perform life saving surgery for Walter, and today he’s doing great!

There is a new scam happening to veterinary clients in Wisconsin. The scammers call clients and say there was a missed charge, then request payment over the phone. I believe this is associated with a security breach for a service that we do not use, so hopefully none of you will be affected. But be aware.
